No one can show you where in the Bible that an Apple was the forbidden fruit.
The Bible says the fruit that Eve gave to Adam was a "forbidden fruit", but it does not specify the variety of fruit.

theres only mention in the Bible of the apple just being a fruit not a forbidden fruit, but a wasted fruit, like I think what was being said is that like a fruit we can become abundent, and prosperous,Joel, Capt1verse12, waste not want not as the saying goes.

It is not so important what the exact fruit was as is the overall premise that it was disobedience that God told them not to eat of the fruit of that particular tree. It could have been an apple, could have been just about any fruit that grows on a tree. Any particular reason you feel it should or should not have been an apple?

The apple is simply iconic. It's only used to represent the forbidden fruit. No one knows what it's really supposed to be.

You won't find "apple" in the book of Genesis because the fruit is never specified in the text. It's an allegory anyway, even though your average literalist will insist the fruit was either an apple, or (if slightly more hip) a pomegranate.

The forbidden fruit was sex.
The church made it into an apple to put down the pagan idea that the apple symbolizes love.

It does not say what kind of fruit it was. People assume it was an apple.

It doesn't. That is some strange tradition. The tree and its fruit were fairly unique, it seems... Apples have less of a tang.

It wasn't an apple. That is just one of the many false traditions of the fathers.
