Some of them are nice people, but they don't put their trust in the Bible. The book of Mormon contradicts the Bible a lot. They both, therefore, cannot be the word of God.

PROS: they are obedient in going to the people, because we are told to "go and tell".
they dress modestly, and appropriately, and we are told to dress modestly.
they do not depend upon the government for assistance. They help each other.
THE CONS: they PUSH the Book of Mormon when so many people don't even have a Bible, which we KNOW is the Word of God
they tend to think just a little too highly of Joseph Smith, who was a prophet, and a good man, but also was ONLY HUMAN. they tend to believe that he was the last prophet, and the truth is that there have been many prophets just as honorable as Joseph Smith.
they tend to believe that only Mormons will go to Heaven. They believe that Mormonism is the TRUE religion. The only one that holds the TRUTH.
I absolutely LOVE most of the Mormons I have met. Oh, what beautiful people!!!! Kind, and lovely! I can see that most of them have a beautiful spirit. Yet, I feel sort of sad for them, too, as I feel that since the Bible says, "No man shall add to or take away from this book," that the Book of Mormon is an ADD TO, and is only a way to distract us from the Word of God (the Bible). I believe that the Book of Mormon COULD be another testament of Jesus Christ, BUT, I believe that it is not the WORD OF GOD, but rather, a testimony of Jesus' being here. Then again, I don't really PERSONALLY believe Jesus came to America, so I guess I wouldn't believe that that could possibly be a testament. All I know is that I KNOW the Bible is the Word of God, and THAT is enough for me!!!!!

I think it is neo pagan to claim the god of this earth is married and we are Mr and Mrs God's children and god used to be a mormon on another planet who became god as the Utah Mormans believe. In a way its a leap of irrationality.
It is also telling that the first Mormon temple was a Mason lodge and Joseph Smith came up with the view that man become god after gettin the 3rd degree Mason rank which says man is divine
It is also telling that when Joseph Smith was on his search for treasure with a divining rod forbidden in the Bible he had a vision of the angels with the stone tablts who told him to stay away from the modern churches which fallen. Of course he afterwards met his wife at a Methodist church so one wonders how closely he listened to the spirit creature he felt ws an angel
Mormonism is in contrast with the Biblical viiew that "I am God and there is no other" in Isaiah. I should say that the Missouri Mormons LDS I think have a more orthodox (but tstill somewhat eccentric) view of God believeing he is the same yesterday today and forever. than the Utah ones

my ex-wife's family is Mormon, and she grew up mormon. She always complained on how the religion contradicted itself too much and how they were too strick, like you couldn't drink soda and coffee cuz it has caffeene. I would never think of converting to that religion (like my beer too much) and The people at church are the biggest judgemental hipocrits you could ever meet.
...same with the jahova's religion.
all it all.. i don't like either one. I'm catholic, and even though i don't go by the book, they are a bit more leaniant with their followers and don't judge as much... from what i've seen.
but no religion is perfect, that's why there are so many out there. Pick one that suits you best!

I don't know a lot about the Mormon religion, but I think that there are way too many jokes and stuff making fun of them.

They are really just a cult passed off as a religion because of their belief in Jesus Christ and the rest of the bible. The fact that they believe Joseph Smith and his lies about Moroni makes this "church" just as ridicules as Scientology. Only scientologists are kooks and Mormons are genuinely kind people. what's funny is they baptize dead people and make their own peanut butter

Considering that Joseph Smith, and his followers have murdered the people who decided to break with them so long ago, I dont think the Mormons are that religious. The people on missions actually keep score of how many people they have "converted", like it's some kind of game, where you have to keep score. Frankly, I dont trust them.

Their "theology" is an amalgam of animism, Gnosticism and idolatry. It is subject to change without notice, according to whatever the current "prophet" says God told him.
Their family ideals are similar to every other faith's family ideals. Whether or not they live up to them, I couldn't say.
Their health practices are sensible.
Their willingness to help those in need is laudable.
They are NOT Christians in the strictest sense of that name.
