the program itself does not but if had read the terms and conditions pages it states that the program is a user sponsored site meaning the files you extract from the program to your computer are from other peoples computers that have downloaded limewire so yes you can get a virus from another user but not the program itself

Free Downloads r bound to contain Viruses. Don't blame Limewire 4 it.
If ur Sys has Antivirus then I don't find any reason to get worried!!!

Limewire itself does not bring viruses to your computer.

Your clicking and downloading the wrong files however would.

It can. Limewire itself doesn't, but some of the files you download do. Make sure you have an anti virus installed. You can get a free one at http://free.grisoft.com

Technically not viruses, but probably other malware. Don't be naive.

There's an old saying, "If you're going to practice social habits like that on the Internet - you better be wearing a prophylactic."

Downloading utilising limewire is risky im no longer positive about frost, yet u can only get an endemic even as u are downloading your stuff. So in case your are going to be utilising this application use the most modern as a lot as date antivirus. and per chance a antispyware besides. yet i do no longer propose utilising it. SAV

Some files are rigged with virus and spyware, you should download virus software from http://www.grisoft.com/doc/289/lng/us/tpl/tpl01 and free spyware/adware software from http://www.spybot.com .

not if you have a mac ;-)

but...for windows users i would venture to say "be careful that what you download is authentic and from users like you and not fabricated to be clicked on"
