This is the same answer I put on the other question you have..hope this helps:o)
On the celebration..even though it is a smaller more intimate ship...it has lots to do.
las vegas style shows, spa, gym, whirpools, dance clubs, karoake, casino, several bars and lounges, they play lots of games, like battle of the sexes, bingo, name that tune, newlyweds, just lots of stuff to do.
Their is no reason to get bored...and the service is actually very good on this ship, even though it is an older ship, it is has lots of character in the decor.
You will enjoy this ship...it is 47,000 tons and hold over 2100 people including the staff.
we have been on over 42 cruises, of all size ships, and this was my first one, and still my favorite.
There ARE other ships from carnival that are larger and nicer...BUT...for your first cruise, this ship is perfect for you to learn your way around on and not get lost. If you like cruising..the next time... you can upgrade...

Personally, it isn't one of my favorite ships, even Carnival has some nicer ones to offer. The problem is mainly the age of the ship, since it is 19 years old, it isn't in the best shape. And, it doesn't have nearly as much of the same things you will find on other lines and especially newer ships.
I went on this cruise, I believe it was in '95. Even then it wasn't in real good shape. I've not been back on it since then, but judging some of Carnival's other ships, it may need some help. It really just depends on what you are looking for and what you are used to. If I remember correctly, the best thing about the Celebration was the food.
If your budget allows, I think I would consider another ship. Look into some of Carnival's newer ships, it makes a huge difference. And, if possible, maybe look into Royal Caribbean, usually around the same rates, but (in my opinion) a much nicer line and cruise.
