I had a dream about being stabbed repeatedly while driving too and it does make you panic!! I had it twice and the last time I had it my Uncle died of a heart attack in his sleep so it really wierded me out.
It scared me more than anything I ever had happen to me. I think I had the news on when it happened so now I sleep in a dark room, no TV, cold so I sleep well and turn off my telephone so I can be nondisturbed.
Just keep your stimuli to a minimum and try to sleep in a cool room with no lights on. It will truly help.

The worst dream I had was when I was 14, 13 years ago. I won't go into all the dream but it ended with me being hung by a great big spider, it was awful and it's stayed with me ever since!

I once dreamt I was shot by a 5 or 6 yearold little girl, she shot 2 other innocent bystanders who were in a cue next to me first-~extreme violence is becoming the norm for younger and younger kids now, its probably a subconscious fear of future social ideals. Except that its already probably the age of kids using guns in appressed area's of Africa init! I was under alot of stress when I had that dream and i just felt relieved that I awoke and it wasnt real.

To be honest ive had a few wierd dreams, ive been drowning, falling from a height , being chased but nothing has happened in real life. I really wouldnt worry - when you go to bed thinking about things it makes your brain dream, non of these dreams mean anything. No point in worrying . xx

no longer deliberately, yet my desires oftentimes impression my mood. If I surely have a no longer so constructive one, i'd be a grump for the first 1/2 of the day... in basic terms in a lengthy time period will I keep in techniques the dream and understand why i'm being grouchy.

I had a dream we were all killed by a atomic bomb. I woke up as soon as I felt the heat. It was really freaking scary. Only happened once though.

If seriously hurt means being beaten by my husband, then yeah. I had that dream like three weeks in a row and it was awful. Actually one of my friends told it was probably going to happen.

Yes. I was dead in my dream looking down at my own body on the operating table. it was eerie! I knew I had died during this surgery and I just thought it was weird that I could see myself! I told them they did something wrong but noone heard me. That was the only time.

apparenty this is different parts of your mind trying to gain dominance, or your subconscious trying to heal splits and traumas inside your mind.
it all depends on your feelings and thoughts during the dream. like, i used to have a recurring dream of burning and floating up with the sparks into the cold dark blue sky, and i felt really good about it, and later it turned out that it was a really important period of change for me. so it was literally "rebirth".
if you are fighting people or animals, they are different parts of your mind - your emotions are always real emotions, and you just have to work out what the people/ animals mean to you, what they could symbolise. eg snake can mean wisdom, or deceit; water can mean your own subconscious - is it clear and fast-flowing (good) or muddy and stagnant (uh-oh) - only you can decide what the symbols mean.
from your brief description, interpreted in the simplest way possible, it sounds like the "something" is something you're worrying or uneasy about, and you're afraid of being punished for doing it.
it is possible to prepare yourself for these dreams and train yourself to follow them instead of fighting them. that helps you integrate the parts of yourself which you previously tried to reject. jung and freud have a whole bundle of that, it makes fascinating reading.
