They do like each other.. They sleep next to each other, have no problems playing or cleaning each other..

Because fluffly keeps whispering in tabby's ear when you're not around telling her that he... is actually your favorite. and immediately after, he rotates his little paw in her face and says "Im not touching you."

I think this is absolutely normal. I have a male cat and female cat. They did this constantly, and I thought they were playing way too rougly. However, it seemed like once my male cat, Meu, showed my female cat, Marley, that he was "in charge" they no longer fought/played so rough. Hopefully this is what will happen with your cats, but it could be something else since it's not frequent. Maybe it's a certain smell one of them gives off at a certain time?

they are like people. we can fight with our spouses but still love them. kids can fight and argue then be fine in a few minutes. your animals are probably fighting because one wants to play then one doesn't want to play. that quickly channels to hissing. or perhaps they have lack of food or space. its no big deal. as long as they don't send each other to the vet.

Cats are moody just like some people. The phases of the moon also affect cat behavior.

They are just going through a power struggle but most of it is play. Leave them alone. If you see blood, then it is serious and you should start thinking of giving one away.

More than likely they are having territorial disputes.... If you had one cat for a rather long time and then bought the other one........that could explain it too......
