Well. thats good. now you can get rid of that heavy antivirus. Try out Avast! which also for 2 months, but a new version of avast is availble frequently, so again u can try t for free. Another good option is AVG, it exists for quite a long time now.
Bye...best of luck

In order to install a fresh copy of Norton from the cd, you have to remove the old copy Start\Settings\Control Panel\AddRemove. Before you do the uninstallation, disconnect your internet connection if you have cable modem access (less chances of viruses infecting your machine before uninstallation and reconnect it after rebooting the machine after the installation of Norton from the CD. I believe after you uninstall the trial version of Norton you will have to reboot your computer first and then install the Norton AV from the CD. Reboot the computer and do a live update to get all the latest patches, etc.

Go for it. Live on the edge. Take a chance. What's the worst that can happen?
Seriously, now that you're getting rid of Norton, you'll be a lot better off. Most other programs are better than Norton.

No harm, just do an Uninstall or go to Add\Remove prgs in Control Panel
I HIGHLY recommend you quit bothering with Norton and get AVAST!
It's better than Norton or Mcaffee and FREE!

Yes whenever Norton Antivirus is going to be installed all old files have to be deleted. Go right ahead and delete them.

Remove Norton first:
Click on START
Click on RUN
Type appwiz.cpl
Click OK
This will bring up "Add/Remove Programs", look for and select Norton Antivirus and click on REMOVE.
Then install the other antivirus.

I graduated from the internet with a PhD in faux smartness. i believe i'm more advantageous than qualified for this. Avast! and AVG are the right 2 loose anti-virus courses. I want avast (screensaver virus test is superb), yet i have heard good issues about AVG.

Not a good idea to have two anti-virus programmes on the same pc.
If you download which is free, you will have a truly excellent anti-virus firewall.
