Dogs are the one of the most loyal and trusted pet animal. There are very popular stories where played a heroic role and saved the life's of many peoples. They can find you anywhere and will never leave you. Dogs can even sense natural disasters like earthquakes before they actual hits. So for me a dog is the best friend for humans.

Thats a very hard question to answer. Well I love both. It depends on the person and the mood of that person. I would think dogs are more popular but there are a lot more cats in this world than dogs. Hope this helps!

I have both cats and dogs but the dogs are the best. They're always so glad to see you when you come home and give affection no matter what. Cats are too independent and they let you live with them. Cats can be left alone for longer periods of time than dogs but I really prefer my pooches.

I think dogs are still the most popular. I love them both, but I would take a dog over a cat. Although cats are lower maintenance than dogs, dogs have a more loving nature to them. Cats get attached to one person, unlike dogs who might attach themselves "more" to one person but still love other people. You can also train dogs to do just about anything. They are obedient when taught correctly. They can also sense when you are sick or even dieing. They are more in tuned to people. I am not saying that cats aren't loving, they just have a totally different persona about them.

I'm both. I grew up with just cats and always loved them. My dad didn't want to deal with dogpoop in his yard. Cats are more independent and willing to go out on their own. Plus the two dogs my parents got(years apart!) had to be put down because of biting. One time was me. Eighth of an inch more I'd only have one eye. I was the only one who felt bad because I knew it wasn't his intentions. And I never got that fear of big dogs. I finally got my own dog, a st bernard golden retriever cross and I was in love!!! I cry to this day because I had to give him away after three years. We moved into an apartment and have no yard. But now I have two human children and a cat who thinks she's a dog. So to answer your question, it depends on what you're looking for in a friend.

I love kittiessss!!! I just got two new ones last week, I like cats because they dont usually like to stay up in your face all the time...and when they do its for a reason and then they get over it they are funnier than dogs and each cat has its own personality like no other cat. I like how they look too. and they dont stink, and if you talk to them they listen and dont ( this is where the individual personality comes in) try to lick you in the face and breathe on you with stinky breath (i did have a cat that liked to lick me once) Also cats are less excitable they are just cool calm and collective...... like ME!
Cats do not need a basked to ride in the car one of my kitties lays on the back seat and the other one sits on the front dash., THEY DO NOT LOOK SILLY ON LEASHES and they forgive you when you mess up.... When i go home my kitties fall over each other to greet me(i admit this may change when they get older) hehe
Cats are just as in tuned to people as dogs!!
But dogs are more popular, I think because cat lovers are sophisticated, and there are less sophisticated people than simpletons. He He

I have 4 cats and 2 dogs. You would not know about the cats unless you saw them or you are paying attention to the cat hair everywhere. My dogs seem to be everywhere at once.
I would have to say dogs. They are man's (and woman's) best friend. Though for some people cats are man's (and woman's) best friend.

I this either are adorable. Just because I love both does not mean I can have both though. I am deathly allergic to cats. When I am around them my eyes swell up and my throat literally closes up to where I can't breathe. Hence, I am a dog person because their dandruff does not bother me as badly. Go figure
