So, let me get this straight. Jesus was executed to save the human race because we are all sinners. (And that includes everyone who ever walked the earth supposedly, before, during and after the execution) Now how does that work exactly? He gets punished because of us and somehow all our sins magically go away?

What kind of sense does it make for god to
a) give us the ability to sin
b) tell us not to sin or else
c) send his son to get killed for our sins
d) still allow us to sin AFTER his son was killed for our sins
e)punish us for not believing he sent his son to be murdered for our sins
f) leave the telling of this magical story to a bunch of humans who can't get the story straight with out contradicting themselves?

Why exactly should Jesus have to suffer for the sins of others? Do you punish your daughter when your son commits a crime?

I'll work on the premise that you're almost sincere and that you, or others appreciate some type of answer.

Going back to Adam & Eve, sin = death and eternal damnation of souls. God was caught in a "Catch-22" since (a perfect) human has to die, which fulfills God's declaration that Adam will die, but God is also love, and wants his children to be in heaven for all eternity. Jesus is called the 2nd Adam.

To beat the devil at his own game, God the Father sends Jesus, who triumps over death, and provides a way of escape. This "escape", if rejected leads to eternal 'death'.

For an act of the "will", folks escape death. Therefore, anyone going to hell can only blame themselves.

Obviously you are not a parent. We tell our kids stuff, - not to be 'mean' but because we know it's good for them, -whether in the long term or the short term. God the Father is like that, -all his words are for our benefit.

It's no surprise that...

1. There's something really 'wrong' with this whole earth, from the weather, to animals killing each other, to the nature of people. It's called 'sin' has tainted the whole world.

2. People are all screwed up, and don't think you are the exception, - join the club.

3. The very 'best' thought is nothing but vain and selfishness. I was happy to help a poor person... but then I realized I was proud and arrogant about my 'betterness' and also just trying to avoid guilt about not helping... And this is the best of human love and compassion?? (oh please!!)

4. We all need salvation to go to a perfect heaven... Amen!!

I love it, this has got to be the best question I've seen in here yet.As for the answer to your question I think anyone w/ common sense should know,A--That these so called christians know not what they read only what some blind preacher has told them to believe and B-- a) without the ability of free will we are just robots b)tells us what sin leads to there is no "or else" where king james put punish and venegance in scripture the aramaic text say judgement so there for the creator doesnt punish you, YOU punish you. A curse causeless will not come, so if you fornicate and get a serious case of HIV and die the creator didnt kill you, YOU killed yourself, the old laws that are supposedly done away with are the only thing that keep peace and great health.C--its no wonder why one would give his son to show that the laws can and should be kept.D-- As for sinning being acceptible that is a pagan I mean christian practice.E-- Nowhere does it say in the original scripture that YHWH punishes anybody unless you think having free will is a punishment. F-- It says in original scriptures that these are the anti-messiahs we are to watch out for, but dont tell them that they might hand you over to be killed just like they did to their messiah, just remember the whole world is deceived or should I say they know not the truth for they follow blindly never researching anything for themselves just being led by deceived pastors, preachers and so on. If you want to know more message me!!

Jesus was a sacrifice. In the Old Testament the Jews would sacrifice animals and such to atone for their sins. God wanted to do something so that everyone could be forgiven forever. He sent His Son as a sacrifice. Jesus lived a perfect life and was killed. A perfect sacrifice, so that if people believed that Jesus did die on the cross for them, then they would be accepting His sacrifice and their sins would be atoned for.

God didn't want mindless, zombies to serve Him and love Him. He wanted people who could make their own decisions and make choices. We are all flawed as humans because we are humans; we are not perfect like God. People choose to sin. God does not make us sin. God gave us the power to choose and think.

God did not leave a "magical story." In the New Testament there are multiple accounts by eye-witnesses of what happened. Ask any historian and they will tell you that multiple eye-witness accounts of a situation help to verify that something is true, not the reverse. Also, the New Testament was written when other eye-witnesses were still alive.

Did you know that before Jesus there were several other people who claimed to be the messiah, but after each of those false messiahs died, the movement died with them? When Jesus died, the disciples became discouraged and saddened. Then, three days later something happened which inspired them to go and preach to the nations and gave them the courage to risk their lives to spread the Truth (many were persecuted.) That something was Jesus being ressurected and going to his disciples and others.

There is a book called The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel. He was an atheist journalist who set out to disprove Christianity so he consulted professionals and questioned them. Although he meant to discredit Christianity and prove it false, he ended up finding it was true and becoming a believer. I recomend this book.

God bless you. I hope you are not closed minded and that you will consider these and other facts.

It's hard to answer all of your questions in writing since it'll take too long. But, just to be clear, the Bible never said God would punish you if you don't believe the story...

And second, the reason why there are so many contradition when humans explain it, is because we are all humans. God give us ideas and hints that he exist through the Bible, but we humans cannot fully understand everything... that's why we're humans.. and the whole story why God must sent his son to pay for our sins, it's to show how much God loves us. God is God, but at the same time he share with us the loving characteristics that he gave us. The exact reason why he would do that, no one can really know, we're not God.. heck, we don't always understand about the universe, how can we understand about God, who created it?

Also, if you think the Bible was just same lame book someone wrote to fool the world, think about this... Normally people write books for a purpose, whether its' fame.. fortune, or money..... When the diciples wrote the book, they were being prosecuted and hunted down to be killed all over the place. No one would be stupid to write something to get yourself killed. Meaning the diciples only wrote it because God enlightened and told them too. As a sign that God is there and he wants to teach us how to live live in a better way.

Again, many of your questions, no one can really tell you, because we are not God...

Nice question evoking thought,

You read that throughout the ages God has done everything everything according to His principle. The Bible says in John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, [ Or his only begotten Son] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

When God created the universe He had a purpose. He created the man as complete (perfect) and the Bible says the sin increased the distance between man and God. And God so loved the world that Gave his only son for the rescue. As you know, to rescue a man trapped in a marsh someone has to go near or to the marsh. This is the only thing that has happened.

Though man is under sin He never realizes that and the Bible says, the Holy Spirit enables you to understand the sinful nature that one has in them. Salvation through Jesus is for those who admits their in sin and accepts him as the saviour.

As discussed above the first sin done by the complete man (adam) was to be repaid by an another complete man. And that is Jesus Christ. The Bible says " In the beginning there was Word, The word was with God and the Word was God". Please dont be confused. Jesus is part of Trinity of God. He is the Lord itself.

What happened her is not the punishment to His son but The God himself bearing the all, that was to be carried by man.

Well, that is a really good question. First of all, Jesus had to die cuz he is the only one who had never sinned. His blood is the only blood that could take our sin away, becuz it was perfect blood. 2nd of all you are forgeting that Jesus died as well as rose from the grave three days later. which means that he is the only one who has had victory over the grave. 3rd God doesn't tell "don't sin or else" he gives us a free will. we have the choice to accept his free gift of salvation or to reject it, God will not shove it down out throtes. As well, we have a sin nature which means that from the time adam and eve sinned sin was passed upon all men, which means every human being will sin, therfore even after we acept Jesus we still have that sin nature until we go on to heaven. where there will be no more sin. which means while we live here on earth we must continue to ask God to forgive us of each wrong thing we do even after we get saved. God does not expect us not to sin, but after we become his child he expects us to keep our sin confessed. one more thing it is not a "magical" story.

Before God sent Jesus every year people would kill and sacrifice a lamb, which pushed thier sins over to the next year. Jesus was cruccifed so that we could have enternal life with God. God gives us a choice if we want to serve Him or not. Do you really thik it would be fun being a puppet on a string? No, God gives us the ableity to choose. This is all kind of hard to understand, but we ahve to have faith and believei in Him. I hope my answer has helped you in some way.

Yes, why not? God decided that man will not turn from his sin unless he knew and understood the consequences of his sins. So he sent Jesus to be a sacrifice to "Only those who believe" and not anyone before his time. Man is not inclined to sin, and he is required to turn form his sin, but it is true that man can not turn from sin completely, because man is week, and can be tempted, and he should pray that he is not tempted. If the heart struggles against sin how could that be wrong for a man who lives in his sin? Would God justify him? Or would God justify a man who delights in his sin? There is a soul, and there is truth for anyone who seeks it. Read the bible. Yes many preachers do contradict themselves, but none the less the word is truth, and it will answer your questions. In the bible it says not to call anyone your father on Earth, because God is your father, and only he should be called father by you. Do you know why he would say this? It’s all over the news papers, and televisions. Preachers abusing children, it’s the way they use the word father in church that makes it powerful, and gives them control to do what God does not want them to do. Read and Learn my friend, and turn from you sins.

You are not God. It's so because God loved us enough ... it was ordained by God that He would send His son to die and be raised from the dead to wash our sins away if we confess and believe in Him (Jesus). Sins are not "magically" removed. Through Jesus, we are set free from the bondage of sin. We have deliverance through Him.

Jesus is the Son of God ... He obeyed His father and I'm thankful for His sacrifice ... what a great sacrifice He made!

God did not "allow" us to sin. He gave us a commandment and the commandment should be followed ... just like when our parent's give us rules to follow ... if we don't follow the rules there are consequences ... what's wrong with consequences?

Jesus was not Punished he did no wrong. But he willingly became the last and final Blood Sacrifice , for Sins to end the Old Covenant. and bring in a New Covenant. Jesus knew what his fate was and he could have rejected it but. he loved Man kind enough & he knew if he did not do this there would be no way to rescue the lost souls that are alien to this world. I know that is probably hard to understand but its true.
