Genealogists.... Yep... We're the nastiest, meanest folks you'll ever meet.
No.... I'm joking. We're generally a very nice group of people, but we do appreciate it when non-genealogy (Family History) questions are not placed here in the genealogy category of Yahoo Answers.

Money Power and Resect. Admit or not everyone wants it and barely anyone tries to get it. People watch to talk about bad outfits people wear? Thats because you need to feel respected, and its fun we all do it, but we make up for lack of confidence because confidence earns respect. Money and power are obvious, expensive houses, cars, being able to give orders, honestly we all in even the smallest way want that... We hate because we don't have it and probably most of us never will.

I think people act hateful when they either had an awful childhood and learned to hate OR they are suffering inside themselves! Usually even though they may look perfectly fine, they have very low self esteem! It is important to remember that you Do not date or marry anyone who is hateful to you or anyone else! Life is too short! You will NOT be able to change them! They need long term therapy and you are not trained to handle it! Neither are your future children!

Fear of the unknown. If hateful people don't understand something or someone, and it doesn't make sense in their own mind, their first response is to hate it. They won't bother to try to understand it, because they don't want the issue around them. They strike back in fear.
I feel sorry for those people, because knowledge is the key towards understanding.

We are born in sin and shapened in iniquity. No one teaches a child to be naughty, its part of their nature.
Bad influences also make people hateful.

Inferiority complex, I believe. Lack of confidence in oneself that could lead to regression. Therefore, hurt others feeling with their ruthless negative remark in a very annoying & irritating manner. Phew...better stay away from this kind of creature or u'll end up burning yourself.

Being bullied. Having too much homework(kids). Parents ignoring. Jobs that barely give money but have to do. The list can go on FOREVER!
