We are both Christians and as a result of an earlier question i now know my true beliefs.. yet still...science sez evolution happened and my friend thinks now that science is all a load of crap.. is this reasonable?

You can't prove anything- you just have to choose what to believe. Now the thought that we came from monkeys is real silly. If you think about it- why are we not still mating with the monkey? Come on- they wonder how Christians can believe the Bible, well how can they believe that science says we are monkeys.

I am not going to be very helpful here. Right now, there are FAR greater things to worry about!
..but God did create science. so, you can't just throw it out. he created many constants that we see in the world today. the bible doesn't mention evolution in a "scientific" sense, but i assure you, God did set a lot of scientific principles into motion!

Evolution is only a theory. No one has been able to prove for over a 100 years now.

"Theory" in science doesn't mean a good guess. It means: "A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena."

Why can't a God of creation use science ot create? If God of all the God of science also. No magic there, thats a different religion.
