how do i get a guy that iv liked for 3 years to like me back?

he doesnt think im very attractive and he told my friend that he likes me as only a friend but most the time it seems like hes flirting

Maybe he is just flirting with you to provoke your emotions, it's like a child playing with a toy only to entertain himself or OTHERS. So he made it clear that he only wants your friendship; therefore, be his friend and turn your feelings to some other person who responds the way you want him too. Never mix your friendship emotions with your true feelings. Don't waste your time because the person who will make you happy is waiting for you to turn your eyes around. A girl experience that situation with me and i feel horrible about it, luckily she found a much better person to love.

I have been in the same situation many times & trust me from personal experience.....you need to give up & move on. You can't make someone like you.......if they don't like you by now after 3 yrs then they most likely never will. Some guys are weird & still kinda flirt even if they don't like a girl.....don't look into it because it doesn't mean anything.

well if its been 3 years and he still doesnt show you any signs (flirting can usually mean nothing) then you should just drop this. but obviously your not going to drop this becuas eif hes what you want then your not going to. first, does he know how you feel about him? you should really tell him if he doesnt know because that can help your chances. if he doesnt like you back then he doesnt like you back. im sorry to say but we cant always bend the world into our favor and maybe there is someone else out there for you and you just have to go look. if this guy doesnt like you now i dont think he will anytime soon and i can be wrong but just think about it. im not here to put you down or anything i just dont want to see you waste your time. goodluck with it.

there's no guaranteed way of getting any person to like another.

sometimes when we are attracted to someone, we see only what we want to see and not what is really there.

that's the real reason why we get hooked up with the wrong partners and have to break up.

but you can try just being friends with him since this is acceptable to him.

I wouldn't waste my time with a guy that didn't like me. You can't MAKE someone like you, but if you think it's worth it, try getting him to hang out with you with a group of mutual friends, and talk to him and find out his interests, see if you two have anything in common. If you do, play on that and see how it goes.
