I think it really depends... People dress in different ways for different reasons but for the most part I think it's about making a personal statement of individuality. For example, someone dressing wild with bright red hair and full of sparkles is likely saying with "saying" it: "Hi, I'm here, I want to be the center of attention so notice me..." Others can't leave the house to go to the grocery store without spending an hour doing make-up and hair... Then you've got people that have more money they know what to do with and just spend spend spend on fashion while others can't afford to dress the way they might prefer... So in conclusion, I think the outside (dress) can be deceiving sometimes and it's important to get to know the inside of a person and not judge a book by its cover, so to speak. Those are my thoughts.

Without a doubt. Psycologists say that a lot of the things we do in life are directly linked to our emotions whether we know it or not. The styles you wear. The type of cars you like. What type of toppings you like on your pizza even. Though keep in mind its not so simple as to say if you dress one way you are that. People also have other reasons for looking a particular way. I know i have to dress different than i would normally when i go to work.

I think for the most part, yes. However, there are exceptions...I have seen men (for example) be all business like in their suit and tie, and then turn around and wear jeans with holes in them with a baseball cap. It depends really. I think people wear their clothes as a statement sometimes. As for me, I am pretty down to earth and dress what I am comfortable in. But I can also turn around and dress to kill (so to speak).

I don't think so. I am a huge history and theology nerd, but I dress classsy, so no, my clothes don't match my personality.
