I received a request from "Minuteman PAC" for a donation to help protect our southern border. Is this a ligitimate request or one of those where the collector keeps most of the money and sends a dribble, if any, on tho the Minutemen? Does anyone know where to donate to do the most to help the Minutemen?

There are a number of organizations that help fight illegal aliens. Some are www.fairus.org, www.numbersusa.com, www.teamamericapac.org, www.americanborderpatrol.com, and many others. If you want to help the minutemen specifically you can go to http://www.minutemanproject.com/

I recommend you stay away from the MM. The intent is noble, but the organizations are off base. Illegal immigration is not their true cause. They view it as a symptom of something far more sinister.

Their are several MM orgs. The original MM name was founded by Simcox and Gilchrist. They split and each have different MM orgs now.

Simcox refuses to disclose the org's finances. There are allegations of mis-use there. Gilchrist ran for Congress on a 3rd party ticket.

The founders are conspiracy theorists. They work to stop the New World Order being perpetuated, the over throw of the US govt, and the enslavement of all US citizens by the world elitists. Per them, our entire govt is a sham. Almost all our politicians are traitors and are active collaborators in a nefarious New World Order. A "Roller Ball" society as depicted in the movies with the same title.

The conspiracy theorists live in a dark and negative place.

Look at my bio to see what I'm about. I'll have a blog up soon.

Donate directly to them...and as for the conspiracy theory...let the events of the past few years stand as a testimony that there is something sinister going on in our country, supported by liberals and some Conservatives, that have opened the doors for the invasion of America by a third world country....

What is the big picture? Greed and the desire to rule unchecked. Are we headed for some kind of dictatorship? Look again and see who our leaders are working for. Clearly allowing the illegals here, allowing them to get away with stealing identities, allowing them to drain tax-based services is more than a disservice to Americans. It is a betrayal of Americans.

If you do not check a company before entering into a transaction, you could lose your money, time and credibility. Some widely used resources are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center (www.fraud.org) these days, you can easily find out more about a company using the internet in a few minutes. From a company's website, you can details about its ownership, how old the company really is and feedback from the company's customers.

Never, I repeat, NEVER donate to solicitation. Contact them directly and do not pay any attention to solicitation. Usually solicitations are scams.
