Yes, right now they are not getting the contract with the US Army.

Why is everyone so worried about Halliburton? Have you thought of the troops over here? The other contractors that are employed by Halliburton? The jobs that none of you want to do? Ask yourself that. I will ask myself if I can look into the eyes of the people that are working over here with me and say "Hey sorry pack your stuff, the people have spoken", or tell the troops that are outside the wire "hey it is MRE's again". Oh yes I will remember the concern that has been expressed about Halliburton stealling all this money the next time I ( a civilian) sit in a bunker and wait out another attack, or as I watch the trucks come in with missing windows, with drivers hurt, or dead, and I can say man we get to much to do this. So instead of sitting back doing nothing you may want to support the troops and the CIVILIANS that are in harms way everyday and night and just say a small prayer for us. Thank you for your support.....

Yes I saw that. The Army is opening it up for bids and they will have new contracts in place in November. They audited the Haliburton contract and, surprise, found gross overspending and such. I.E. $45 a case of soda. Not to mention the new bids will lower the cost and hopefully revitalize the process.

They are terrible though. I am Canadian and worked on the Canadian base in Afghanistan. All the Americans would try and get assignment so they could come to our base to eat yet Halliburton cost far more. Did you see who the contract is going to? PAE maybe?

Yes, and now our soldiers will be at the mercy of the 'lowest bidder.'
People keep forgetting that Haliburton does things right and they do them on time.
Doesn't 'supporting the troops' imply making sure that they get good food instead of cheap food?
