The truth is that as irrefutable evidence of evolution I present myself...naked.

That can't be fully true, my wife still thinks I'm a pig. Now I got to tell her I'm a monkey. Man what next????
She already doesn't believe I could have ever evolved form anything lesser, she already thinks that I am the lower form of life out there.
I thought you were going to offer some hope but instead just cruel nightmares.
Is there any true hope out there, I thought that is what religion is for.
I just love your questions.

We are neither apes nor monkeys... but I'll agree that we are primates and hominids and all that.
I mean no offense... but wouldn't it be funny if God's "image" turned out to be that of an ape-like creature? Then He can ask all these people what's so wrong with being like monkeys and apes. They have feelings, too, you know.

Not monkeys, but apes. We share common ancestry with the other currently existing apes. As has been pointed out, humans are pretty much apes (we are "[hominidae] homo sapien sapien," after all; primates, animals and all that jazz).

Sorry, dear, we possess fewer genes in common with monkeys than donkeys share with horses. At least THEY can interbreed, even if the offspring (mules) are infertile. We CANNOT interbreed with any other primate.

Jim, I think you have evolved the ability to live without sleeping, subsisting only off of the radiation from your monitor & the ire you induce... because you're on Yahoo! Answers asking questions every single time I log in without fail :)

Well, think about it; we are 98% identical on the genetic level to chimps, we and monkeys are the only creatures with opposable thumbs, & scientifically, we are of the same genus as monkeys.................
