Yes you can. But the reason why around the holidays that colds go around is because more people are indoors and have more interaction with family (usually). Germs are more likely to be spread around. And those who already have a cold that is indoors with the family, they are bound to get the rest of the family a cold. It is just funny how it is cold in the winter and it happens to be called a cold
With you going to the theme park you had a lot of interaction with people and that place is just known to have A LOT of people, so you may have caught it from someone else. Or allergies...that is if you have them.

Summer cold: A popular term for hay fever. Although the symptoms of a "summer cold" may be similar to those of a real cold, the term "summer cold" is a misnomer. Unlike a real cold, it is not caused by a virus but by allergy. It is therefore also called allergic rhinitis, a runny nose due to an allergy.

Colds are caused by viruses (rhinovirus or coronavirus), and the viruses don't care what time of year it is or how hot the weather is. They will infect you if they get the chance. The reason we usually get sick more in the winter is because the cold weather forces us to spend more time indoors close to each other where the air quality is worse and we have to breathe each other's exhaled air.

you probably were exposed to someone htat had a cold or sinusitis at the park. Catching a cold is not limited to the winter time. See your doctor if your symptoms worsen. It is possible also to get pneumonia in the summer

Sure can and they can be really nasty and hard to get rid of. Are you sure you have a cold. Maybe an allergy?
Get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids. If you have a fever or it lasts more than a few days, see your doctor.
Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

Unfortunately, summer colds do occur. And they're almost legendary in their misery! I've got a friend who's fighting one now.
Stay home, sleep as much as you can, and drink lots of liquids- especially boulion and hot lemon and honey. I can't promise you'll get well faster, but you'll feel less rotten.

If it is green, it is a bacterial infection and you need antibiotics. If it is yellow-it is a virus. Rest in bed, drink plenty of fluids and take an asprin. If it is clear, it is an allergy and you need to find out what the allergy is and take antihistimines.

the colds you get in the summer are worse, because of the air conditioning, and all the horrible stuff in the air
