As you see with the FDA link I provided, three to four months is the rule. Hamburger meat is nothing to mess with in regards to contamination and viruses. When in doubt always throw out.

I've been cooking for more than fifty years and have yet to find meat that was bad to eat from being kept frozen too long. I have also been a meat cutter and have butchered and stored the meat we butchered at home. The major problem with frozen meat is freezer burn. The meat will turn brownish or whiter than normal and have an unpleasant taste. I don't know that it's bad for you, it's just unpleasant to eat. Feel safe keeping hamburger frozen for up to about nine months as long as it is well sealed and protected from drying out in the freezer. This is what freezer burn is.
I hope this helps.

Most freezer manufacturers say 4 to 6 months max on meats. It depends a lot on what it was wrapped in.

I belive you can use it safely for 2 to 3 months in the orginal wrap, or up to 6 months if you took the time to rewrap it in freezer paper/plastic. If there is freezer burn you'll know by the smell.

It will usually keep for a couple of months, I ate some that was a year old once, it was okay but it tasted kind of stale like the freezer smelled, but yeah it won't kill you thats for sure.

Uncooked meat can be frozen for over a year.
You should never refreeze meat after it has thawed or been cooked.
Cooked meat should not remain in the fridge for more that 4 days.

it should be fine, it is frozen so that preserves it..wait too long and it might get freezer burnt, but it won't go bad.
