It is some people's way of having control of themselves and their partner's lives. Some people are so insecure about themselves, they have to have COMPLETE control and if the only way to do it is to beat someone into submission, that is what they do. They themselves may have been beat when they were young, or had a parent that beat the other one. They may have anger control issues, there are alot of unacceptable reasons that guys beat on women, and none of them are right. Any man that does this should be locked up in prison or in an institution where they can get the help that they need.

some guys have a bad temper and blame or tear up things around them..not just girlfriends, but pets and the walls to...some women dont help either especially after they really know the guy...they know just which "buttons" to push to make a guy lose his cool...and they do it regularly to feel they have somehow got the guys attention or somthing, or to "win" the argument....thats asking for it imo.
...on the other hand there is the type of girl that likes to be roughed up i think...it makes them feel wanted or somthing...ive run into girls that kept going back for more and it wasnt because they were afraid or loved the guy per-se...i think they actually got off on being hit and pushed around....they liked the "drama"
personally i've never hit a woman ....the closest i came was throwing one onto the couch when she got in my face and wouldnt get out of it....

they do it because they are insecure. They are afraid that someone will be more powerful or smarter than they are. Therefore, in order to keep a girl from becoming his equal or better. They do it for control. It's an exertion of power, albeit a shitty one. If they can keep a girl down and keep her in line, so to speak, then they think it lets her know who's the boss.
Personally, I think that wife beaters and the like need to have the living beejeezus beat out of them by the girl's father and brothers. However, some girls just gravitate toward that type of moron.... possibly because of her own family history of abuse. Perhaps her dad beats her mom, or her brother beats his wife. I'm not saying that the girl deserves it if she chooses to stay with a man like that... but if he hits you once, he'll do it again if you let him.
If you or a friend of yours are having a problem with someone beating you, just remember.... he has to sleep sometime. My grandmother solved her own problem with her drunken husband beating her every night. She finally got sick of it and waited till he passed out. She sewed him up in his own sheets and beat the hell out of him with a huge piece of firewood. She should have just killed him... but she let him live, and swore to him that if he ever touched her again she would indeed kill him. And he never raised a hand to her again.

Because he is not intellegent enough to find some other way to express his frustration. His frustration probably starts with his own puny life and has to make himself seem bigger than life.
Also because she was not smart enough to shoot his *** down where it belongs.
My son knows he will get a ball bat from me if he ever does that to his future wife. M daughter knows that my almost (but thankfully will never be) son-in-law will get a face full of hot lead if it shows up at her door.
Oh by the way, I'm expressing my frustration intelligently.

mostly, because their spouse or g/f LETS them do it... after the first time you, the guy should be the hell out of her life! As far as the guy goes, he's an insecure sissy-boy without the balls to take out his personal anger issues with a real man who would beat the snot out of him! And he knows it... even as a moron, he does know he's a poor excuse for a man and enjoys the power he has over his woman.

Sometimes, men have a lot of anger or frustration within theme-selves which causes them to loose their temper and distribute this violent act on women probably because they know that women are not as strong as males are. I was brought up to respect and act decent around ladies. Everybody is different and not all males hit women, I don't.

its a power n control thing with them, they feel like the want need n have all the control ova the women when they beat her down it is also a way for them to break her down so she will not leave him see if he breaks her down enough n makes her think that no one will help her if she leaves him then she will think she has no one to help n take care of her so why not stay. its sad but its what happens now not all of them stay thank god, it may take some of them along time to get out but some do make it out.

Because they are insecure and ignorant. It feeds their shallow egos by giving them a false sense of power and control. They don't see it for what it is because they are not aware that they have options as far as how they manage their anger and react to things (hence, igorance) They are too "manly" to bother with analyzing the results of their actions.

Men beat up women because they are insecure. The violent action they do to women give them power to rule. Women should report any action of domestic violence.
