Because we don't assume anything, we just know we do.

Good question. I am Christian, not because of social issues, political issues, sexual abuse, a weak mind, gullibility, or any other exuse. I have examined the science, the conciseness, the clarity of the message, and have seen God, (the real God) answer prayers, and even save my life literally (as well as spiritually). All other religions ask you to do something. If you do something, you will get something. Say a hail mary, God has to forgive you. Ring a bell so many times in buddism for answered prayer. Chant so many times in hinduism to get enlightenment. Blow yourself up and God has to let you in to heaven. Christianity, real Christianity, has nothing to do with these kind of things. Christianity is about a relationship between humanity and God. A relationship where He has pursued the hearts of people since the beginning of time. A relationship where all he wants is to get to know you and for you to get to know him. And so much more that is inexplicable. It's a relationship that's the focus of Christianity, not right vs wrong, good vs bad, hell vs heaven, but a real relationship.

Religion is the root of all evil! Yeah, I know that may sound blasphemous to you, but gimme a break! Religion was (and still is) the root of almost every WAR in history. Millions and millions have KILLED in the name of God! C'Mon!!! Get real!! No one knows the real truth about God or what he wants for us. No one knows anything about Him!! All our Bibles and Korans etc. are riddled with stupid crap. That's obvious. I don't PRETEND to know the answers and I certainly don't preach silly religion to others. There will NEVER be peace on earth until everyone can put their religions aside. And you know what? That will never happen unfortunately.

I believe it is the same reason some people think bush is a good president, they just don't look into it enough to see what it is all about or they like what they hear with out finding out for themselves, and then get stuck with it and are to embarrassed to say they are wrong..

We have proof that what we believe is true. How do you explain people being healed when they are sick? But what would be better? Living in sin all your life thinking the is no heaven or hell, one day when you die, you find out you were wrong and have to spend eternity in hell, or, would you rather live a life sin free, die and go to heaven?

They think they are better than everyone else is why. I think all religions have some trues and falses in them. So I don't think christians are always that right, especially when they themselves mess up too!

I'm Christain and I've never thought that my religion is the lucky one, as you put it. I believe my thing, and I let others believe what they want to.

For the same reason all religions do. Either you believe or you don't. Why would people follow something they do not believe is true?
