It's probably safer to swim than to walk. But to be safe, just try not to overstress your hamstring.

if u did pull ur hamstring then u need to stay off ur leg as much as possible but if ur going to just swim it would still hurt but will be okay but if ur going to swim laps i wouldn't because like some of the others said u would feel it the next day and it want feel good it wouldn't further ur injury but it will hurt alot more the next day and u wouldn't want to walk on it

Here's the question to ask. Is the back of your legs bruised? If yes, then you "pulled" a hamstring. If it's not, you just "strained" it. If it's "pulled", your exercise should stop until it's healed. If you don't, you run the risk of ripping the ligaments.
If it's "strained", then you can exercise, just be careful. Right now, the hamstring is very weak. Stretch it very well before doing light exercise.

I wouldn't swim with a hamstring injury. It is likely that you will worsen it. Stay off your leg for a while until the injury heals.

Yes, swimming is a good healing tool for pulled muscles, but don't over do it, or you'll feel it the next day, even worse.

swimming relaxes muscle. my sports therapist reccomends it after pulling something or when youre sore.
massage it a little before swimming and that should do the trick! good luck, hope it heals, pulling muscles bites!

As a SCUBA instructor, I would say " yes " you could swim..but, if you feel any pain, QUIT.
Why don't you see a doctor before going..
Have a good day.
