A baby mocking bird will fledge at about 8 weeks and totally fly away by 12. If they are fully feathered, the babies, then they are at least 4-6 weeks. If the babies are teeny still, those parent will get you for another couple months.

The babies leave the nest after about 12 days..not sure where those other respondents came up with 9 weeks in the nest..NO bird stays in the nest that long!! They may still remain in the area, as the adults will still care for the babies for a few more weeks but they should move around and may end up out of your yard and you will hopefully stop getting attacked.

The Northern Mockingbird will lay 3 to 4 greenish to bluish-grey eggs blotched with brown, usually 3 to 10 feet above ground. The female incubates the eggs for 12 to 13 days. In 12 to 13 days after hatching, they will fledge the nest but are not strong fliers for about another week. The male will continue to feed the fledglings during this week while the female lays more eggs. I would remove the nest after they fledge so you wont be harassed by them for another brood of babies! They can have 2 to 3 broods a season and 4 in the South! Good luck!

Ok listen

when did the birds lay the eggs.

If you dont know thats ok I can still help.

Mockingbird eggs usually take 15-18 days to hatch

The babies leave the nest at 7-9 weeks old.

As far as the parents attacking you you could try taking water from a plant mister and squirting them when they attack you, the water will deter them and make them leave. It works on Starlings.

Or you can just wait until the parents leave the nest.

relies upon on the species. ought to nicely be 11-19 days. in simple terms understand that the babies fledge (go away the nest) formerly they could fly. they favor time to hop round on the floor and climb low branches and exercising their wings until eventually they have bolstered them sufficient for flight. the mummy and dad will proceed to feed the fledglings until eventually they're self-sufficient. So in case you word toddler birds on the floor which have maximum of their feathers yet nevertheless are literally not flying, that's standard. go away them for the mummy and dad to have a tendency.
