We are simply ants on a side walk and "God" (so to speak) is a kid with a magnifying glass.

Sort of. If it were, perhaps it would be like a larger ant hill in the middle of a playground full of 7 year olds. Some have an interest in us, some don't. The kids come and go as they please, some will watch, some will think we're "icky", some will put crumbs down for us, some will pour water on us, etc.

Interesting analogy. Is my polytheism showing again? :^)
