Jesus didn't want to die, and he hasn't.

Jesus didn't want to did that is why in the Garden he was sweating blood. However, God told him what was to come so he knew what might happen. The weakness of men put him on the cross but he didn't use his power to come down so that people would see the devils plan. The devil trick people by saying God's laws were unjust. His true plan was always to rule.

By killing Jesus he thought is plan for rule was the full-proof. Not knowing the Father had already made a plan to defeat him and prove to the Universe not just humans that his law was love not force. If he sent a number of angels and killed all the people who wanted to kill him then would that be sad.

Finally Jesus never had any suicidal thoughts the Church of Latter Day saints uses there own bible. I trust in their work but the Bible and the Bible(King James) are better then version like the one Church of Latter Day Saints and Jehovah's Witness' use both those versions are altered to meet the needs of the church fathers in the resent years.

Jesus did not want to die. The Gospel accounts of His agony in the garden at Gethsemane are clear in telling us that.

He specifically prayed to His Father that "this cup of suffering" be taken away from Him.

But He also expressed a willingness to accept it if it were the Father's will -- even though He didn't want it.

So, no, Jesus was not suicidal -- suicidal people do not, as far as I know, pray for the removal of that which will cause their deaths.

This does not mean that God killed Him.

At the end of the day, our sins killed Him!

It was all our sins -- mine, yours, and everyone else's -- that put that cross on his shoulders, that made Him carry it, that drove the nails through his feet and wrists, and that hung Him up their for several agonizing hours.

According to the Christian faith, we believe that Jesus did NOT want to die, but recognized that he had to for the good of humanity. God didn't want him to have to die either, I mean, it was his son and all, but God likewise recognized that letting Jesus die would be the ultimate sacrifice and would save future generations from a life of sin. God didn't "kill" Jesus, he just sacrificed his son for humankind so that our sins would be forgiven. At least, that's what you believe if you're Christian. It's kind of an abstract concept, I know, but I hope I've explained the rationale a little better.

Here's the thing: supposedly God sent Jesus to live on earth as a man to die for the sins of mankind. Now, why if he just died in his bed of old age, this wouldn't accomplish the same thing as his dying a painful death on the cross, I don't know. But , of course, none of this stuff makes any sense to begin with. However, if he had died in bed, I guess Christians would then be wearing little gold beds around their necks instead of crosses. BTW, does it ever occur to any of you that what you're wearing was a method of execution? What a beautiful symbol of faith and love: an instrument of torture and death. If they'd had the electric chair back then, that's what you'd be kneeling in front of and making expensive jewelry in the shape of. Just something to think about.

I think that Jesus was struggling with the idea of dying but knew that it must be done. God sent his son to bring love to a sinful world where the religious were corrupt. The Crucifixion was something Jesus knew was coming and was faithful to the father. He did not die , he lives in heaven with the father.

No, Jesus did not want to die. In the garden before He was arrested He askes if this cup can pass before Him. He was willing to submit to God's will over His own. Christ died on the cross but is no longer dead. He conquered death and came back on the third day, alive not as a ghost. He was able to touched and was seen by over 500 people at one time. He stayed on earth for 40 days before ascending back into heaven.

Jesus was sent to die on the cross so that everyone could have a chance of eternal life. He did not want to go throught the physical agony of death, but he like all christians Know that it is the body that dies not the spirit. So Jesus in the flesh died but his spirit did not. You are thinking of God and Jesus as fleshly beings, God is a SPIRIT and he that worships him must worship him in Spirit and in truth.

of course not. as the human embodiment of Christ, Jesus was as aware of pain and suffering and no human (in their right mind) wants that.

He even prayed to His Father, that He would not have to die, but He did know the importance of the only infallible being, having to make the sacrifice.

even at the end of His life on this earth, Jesus cried out to His Father "why have you forsaken me?"

in this human form He was just as frail as we are. when He was separated from God, even for a few days and hours, the enormity of losing God's blessing was catastrophic.

His resurection signified the re-birth of the believer. not the NON-SINNER, because there were not before him and non after him, so far.

God sacrificed Him, He didn't just kill Him. As for Jesus wanting to do die, I think it was yes and no. Yes because he wanted to do it for you so that you could have eternal life and no because nobody wants to go through a crucifixion. It wasn't suicide either because He didn't kill himself, the people who nailed Him to the cross killed Him.

there is a difference, He knew He was going to die. and how He was going to die in a gruesome way.(psalm22) in the garden Jesus prayed that this cup my pass from Me. but was willing to follow Gods will to the end. Jesus was like a man on death row, knowing the date of His death and the way of His death all His life. sure was torn about the situation but was willing to sacrifice His life for ours.
