I saw this article and I was wondering if they were convicted could they get a death sentence like in a civilian court system? Especially since the victim is thought to be 14yrs and her sister (who was also murdered) was only about 5yrs....

It's life at FT. Leavenworth, and no they don't get parole in Leavenworth if it's life then it's life it's one of the hardest max security prisons in the nation, could get the death penalty who knows is what ever the punishment is according to the UCMJ if convicted and given death then they will die. either way if they are found guilty they are screwed. The military doesn't punish lightly.

I really don't think so, but I am not sure.
I doubt you would want to spend the rest of your life in a military brig. If you ask me, they should have a trial in Iraq for these types of things. If they were friendly fire deaths, that is one thing, but this is rape and murder.
Sometimes civilians are killed during the "standard" operating procedure of war. However, if this information is true, it is just rape and murder. Not only that, these soldiers have put even more American soldiers at risk due to certain groups now using it as an excuse to murder more people.

Why may you imagine that the soldier became Christian? That reality by technique of itself voids the entire question. You look putting ahead some thing that you heard, in a court of regulation this may be brushed aside as rumour arise with a question you could decrease back up with info. i'm guessing you're a liberal EDIT be conscious to II_jenny_II i assume that it is type of not basic to study the which technique of my answer, what i became alluding to his how he parent that the soldier became a Christian, . be conscious to the Asker; perchance many of the individuals from the south are Christian or Jewish yet there are also atheists and non Christians besides i'm asking you to placed up info that this guy became Christian. Edit: be conscious to Asker: in my view, I agree including your anger, it truly is incorrect and the guy should be punished to the completed quantity of the regulation, yet what functional distinction does it make if he were Christian, in reality if he were Christian he doesn't carry out one of those terrible deed, so even as it truly is statistically plausible that he got here from a Christian history that does no longer propose that he became Christian. by technique of how, if he killed each and every individual together, all of us understand, one hundred% that he's a mass assassin, serial killers kill quite a few over the years, believe me i understand I went to varsity with a mass homicide (killed a health care specialist and all yet 2 of his kin) and one in each and every of my acquaintances (Ed Kemper) became a serial killer Bash this guy for his deeds, no longer what you imagine he's, good interest on the placed up (except on your guess) we may be able to and may actual no longer settle for one of those habit

Military executions are currently performed via lethal injection.

Look it up. It falls under the UCMJ.
I think it might be death, if they are convicted of murder.
I don't know much about the geneva convention, but you might want to look on there.
The punishment should fit the crime though.
