What ever, you should not be ashamed of your differences, everybody has something that is different about them. That' s what makes us all unique.

It's normal but, not at the same time. You (like many other females) limit your association with other females simply because of the competition factor. Not to mention that keeping a stable of guy friends insures that you will never have a shortage of dates. This is wrong overall. But do what you want to.

if you feel comfortable hanging out with that gender then it's cool just go wit it. but i dont agree that dudes are less attached to appearances cuz almost every guy, even the bookworms, find themselves all googly-eyed or whatever at some fine or cute chick, whether they admit it or not. but about your normality...if you think it's normal regardless of what other ppl got to say, then that's exactly what it is

Yes this is normal and not too uncommon. I've had serveral close friends like you in college and no one thought it was abnormal or that it meant that the girl was a slut. Men have a much more straight forward way of dealing with people.

yes it's normal and it doesn't mean ur a tom boy either, all of my friends are guys, because they like to do fun cool stuff, and they don't worry about petty stuff, i'm girly, i wear makeup and dresses and do all the stuff that girls do, i just like hanging out with guys better, i don't know how old u r but if ur in school some of the girls will probably call u a hoe or slut, but my advice is to ignore them u know ur not ur friends know ur not so thats all that matters. hope that helps :)

Guys are less judgemental. Plus, girls are usually more competitive with other girls. If you have guy friends, there's nothing to compete for, unless some of your guy friends are gay... then there may be some competition. It's normal, trust me.

of course that there is no problem! I also can discuss and learn more things from guys. my 'best' female friends were in the middle school, all of then were such self-skinned persons.. I enjoy more being with male friends. and I don't see no problem going on like this.
