Believe me... you will know. Your stomach will tighten up, and the more it does that the more it will hurt. These contractions will last for less than a minute at first, and will increase in pain and intensity and last longer. You may also have your water break. Another sign if you go to the bathroom and see clear mucous with a little pink blood in it.. Your doctor will also give you an idea of about how long it will be.

You will know when the times comes.I just had my third daughter in January & she came 5 weeks early I never had contractions or anything with the first 2 due to they were sch.c-sections.With my last I had cramps, tightening in the stomac,& alot of lower back pain. The pain will start in your lower back & go around to your lower stomach area.Good luck with your baby,I love being a mom.

You'll know, don't worry! Just be patient. You'll start to feel crampy at first, your water may or may not break (never did with either of my kids until I was in the hospital), and you may lose your "mucus plug" which was in your cervix. Just a few more weeks at the most, so hang in there!

Unfortunately no one told the baby about due dates. Your baby will come when (s)he is ready. Babies don't know what a calendar is either.Good luck to you.Enjoy your rest now, you'lll understand why I said this after the baby is born.

You'll know. If it's your first, you may be waiting for another month or longer. Don't rush it... :)
If you want to bring on labor, have lots of sex!
