If an atheist is intelligent and asks meaningful questions, it helps our thinking processes so that it is not just blind belief, but a faith based upon reason and revelation.

Not really. Nowadays, the term "Christian" seems to only be another title to decribe an individual i.e. He's tall, dark, Christian, etc. There are a lot of Christians who "believe" in God, then come up with their own opinions or analogies about life without reading the Bible. The Bible shuns against shoving our beliefs down ones' throat. Plant the seed, and move on. That's one reason why there's so much Christian conflict.

That is...if you're asking if athiesm has brought Christians closer together as a whole...might've misinterpreted.

Hmmm, I would suggest that the love of Christ has spread through the world more than ever, by way of missionary, witnessing, testimonies of saved hearts, etc.

Those who are still troubled with a lack of God in their life are so curious about what Christians have and think. It must be the peace and hope of a life everlasting that is so appealing to them. It certainly is for me!

Insomuch as any competing worldview challenges Christians to become more knowledgeable and better informed about their faith, I'd say it's a good thing.

What is disturbing is that so many Christians lack basic understandings of their faith that they are persuaded and swayed by the simplest of arguments. It's proof that many Christians are completely ignorant of the history of their faith!

I don't, as discipline assumes a position of authority. Athiests have no true authority over Christians. They have, however, done their share of persecuting Christians, as have Christians to Athiests.

If by 'disciplined', you mean 'turned apologetics into an art form', then yes. The contortions and speculation people will search for so they don't have to give up their myths is truly amazing.
