A white dove alone commonly symbolizes peace.

Many believe that a flock of white doves mean some kind of miracle or a message from God.

The white dove was used several times in the Bible. Noad sent out the dove to look for trees or land. And The Holy Spirit descended down on Christ after He was baptised as A dove. The dove is pictured as gentle and humble. Jesus loves you.

A good sign! I would say that maybe someone had been praying about you, that your traveling might be safe from harms way, perhaps your mother or your grandmother was remembering you in prayer. Also, in the scripture (Bible) it symbolizes the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. "When Jesus had been baptized, he immediately came up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens opened up for him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him (Luke 3:22)." Who ever you are, God is watching over you and he is much closer than you think...

It depends on the person and situation. A white dove typically stands for peace, but as evidenced in the movie "Mars Attacks," the aliens take it as a threat and annihilate the entire crowd!
