You can believe in creation, the big bang, evolution, etc. What other theories are out there? I, personally, as a Christian, am firmly planted in my beliefs, but I like to have all the information I can. What do you believe and why?

By the way, all of you who say there is scientific proof of evolution and such, I would honestly like to know where I can see your information- I'm not being rude- I'm serious

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth because He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end!

Have you heard of Big Bang?
The Big Bang Theory is the dominant scientific theory about the origin of the universe. According to the big bang, the universe was created sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion years ago from a cosmic explosion that hurled matter and in all directions.

The only theories that have continually stood up to scientific scrutiny over and over are the big bang and evolution. Creationism fails every single test.
Big Bang age of the universe = (approx) 14 Billion Years
Creationism age of the universe = (approx) 6,000 Years
Somebody is really, really far off.

Ok, think like this:
When a printer prints a document for you then you don't say that HP or IBM is printing it, though they are manufacturer of the Printer.
Similarly GOD created Big Bang and let evolution happen. So far our science reached to Big-bang, sooner or later scientist will reach to GOD also.
It is all faith and belief. Thomas Edison was having believe that electricity can produce light. Similarly science have to believe that there is GOD and do the research. They will find it in there way also.

Our solar system was the product of a supernova after the big bang:
"Our own sun is a second- or third-generation star, formed some 5 billion years ago out of a cloud of rotating gas containing the debris of earlier supernovas. Most of the gas in that cloud went to form the sun or got blasted away, but small amounts of the heavier elements collected together to form the bodies that now orbit the sun as planets like the earth."

I cannot believe that people believe that some imaginary "being" created the world...What do other religions believe? They certainly don't believe in your "Christian" God...
Evolution (if studied not judged) will prove to be more intelligent an answer then snapping your imaginary fingers and *POOF* there is the world...
We will never truly know because if a scientist ever found the "real" truth...he would be assassinated by some crazy bible thumping idiot...or the Catholic Church for ruining their income...

For my peace of mind, I cannot believe anything other than the truth as it is written in Genesis I, page 1 of the Bible.
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters

My personal belief is that God made a plan and put it into motion. It could have been the Big Bang or more literal interpretation of the Bible's creation story. All that maters is that we are here now and how we live our lives today!

Nothing has ever been created ex-nihilo or annihilated. What we call creation and destruction is simply rearrangement.
It's fallacious to say the universe was created by the big bang. The universe IS the big bang.

God create aliens, ALiens create humans, God create humans and never bother again and let evolution go. THere are so many pocibilities and we always look only at the Creation and Evolution. Its just shows how much we are limited in our imagination
