I LOVE THE CALIBER!!! Inexpensive(even for myself, a college student), great gas mileage(24/30), it looks cool, and it is very spacious inside. My whole family always wants me to give them rides in the caliber, even my parents, because they like it more than their cars.

Tough call. Both are attractive cars. I would probably get the Mazda 3, though the previous suggestions of the Jeep Compass and Patriot are also good choices. It depends on what you prefer the most. The Mazda 3 is the more sporty of the two, no question about it. Yet, the Caliber is cheaper, and I believe offers an AWD version. Since I'm more inclined to have sport in my blood, I would choose the Mazda 3, even though it is more European then Japanese.

I REALLY want a new Caliber! They have the bold, aggressive styling that Dodge is famous for, spacious for a little car, and then there's all the neat little features that would just make it fun to own...besides, my wife has a '95 neon that's been an excellent car for 141,000 miles and doesn't show any signs of stopping...and the caliber is the replacement for the neon.

Check out the jeep compass and patriot. they are both built on the caliber platform and they are incredible. they have alot of "get up" and great all wheel drive. they all are the only cars ON EARTH to have generaltion 2 variable transmissions, which means over 30mpg. The caliber and its variants from jeep are the most advanced vehicles available, and are a new bread being released by american car manufacturers to blow away imports.
I really really hope you go to a jeep dealer before you choose. They are great. you can even clean out the inside with water. it completely washable. It has a mp3 jack, and you can choose between the look of a regular jeep or the more car like compass.

Mazda 3 has a look that other competitors can't match... It's offensive from inside and out... Interior is great and fun to drive.. Reliability rating should be ( not sure) good since this is Japanese... 3 is a better choice.... Go for it...

The Dodge Caliber is ugly and American. American cars are useless and incredibly unstylish, bulky, and just plain unsightly. Go for the Mazda three it is zippy, fun, and Japanese, they know cars.

I think that they re strange i cant recognize how big or small they are?,although good cars still.
The Mazda 3 is a nice car,a bit too European yet attractive and well styled in and out.

GO FOR THE MAZDA 3 IT LOOKS A LOT BETTER THEN A DODGE CALIBER AND MORE POWERFUL ,FUEL EFFICENT , AND HANDLES A LOT BETTER THEN THE BIG BULKY AND UNATTRACTIVE CALIBER !!!!
