The best steak I've ever had was at a little steak house called Casey's Cow Town tucked on Trail just off of 2nd Ave in Dodge City, Kansas.
Funny thing was it was steak au naturale; nothing on it but a little salt and crushed black pepper. Served with a side of baked potato and a domestic beer. But it was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Just goes to show, when you start with a good cut of meat and cook it right, it doesn't need a whole lot of anything else.
Best thing about it, though: it runs about $20 a plate

I agree with you. The sirloin marsala was out of this world. But I also get very good steaks at The Iron Skillet, a truck stop in my area. They're huge and very inexpensive. Not to mention a good salad bar to go with it!!

Golden Coral is aweful., I can;t believe someoen wrote that. Anyway, my grill makes the best steaks. I like it hot and juicy. When I order an over priced steak at a steak house it is almost always at room temp.

"A very flavorful steak as good as the ones you pay $30 for in the restaurants. Serve with sauteed mushrooms and a baked potato."
Original recipe yield: 4 servings.
Prep Time:
15 Minutes
Cook Time:
15 Minutes
Ready In:
45 Minutes
Servings:
4 (change)
INGREDIENTS:
* 4 (6 ounce) rib-eye steaks
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
* 8 cloves garlic, minced
* 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat grill for high heat.
2. Rub each steak lightly with olive oil - this is to ensure that the steaks don't stick to the grill. Season with salt and pepper. Rub fresh garlic into both sides of each steak. Let stand for 15 minutes.
3. Place the steaks on the preheated grill, and immediately turn after 30 seconds (this first turn is to ensure that one side is seared). Place the fresh rosemary sprigs on top. Cook 7 minutes per side, to desired doneness, remembering to remove the rosemary sprigs before turning, and to replace on top of the meat after turning.

I got the best steak I ever had at a resturant in Pensacola, FL called Mesquite Charlies. It was juicy, done just right, and had this smoky flavor just sooo good! If you are ever in that part of FL you must try it!

There was a restaurant here (now out of business-drats) and they had a fillet that was set on fire after it was cooked to your preference via Peach Brandy. OMG it melted in your mouth.
