As a Christian myself for 37 yrs. i do no longer remember on a everlasting torment, I do trust that some will be tortured extra effective then others, & I also do no longer trust hell is everlasting, Now wait a minute Christians, i'm interpreting an similar bible you're, yet in 37 yrs. I extremely have got here upon something, turn to Revelation monetary catastrophe 20, research the total monetary catastrophe, yet i will discuss the surely acceptable few verses, 14: And death & HELL were solid into the lake of hearth, that's the second one death, If hell or possibly the lake of hearth were everlasting. then those human beings will easily have everlasting existence, there is in immediately ahead words one sort of everlasting existence, & that is via Jesus Christ & each and each and every authentic believer being sealed by employing skill of the Holy Ghost. And No we should not be giggling at those in torment.

I think Jesus wants all people to be "with God" and he's espoused that the way to do that is through accepting his gift of love and redemption (paraphrasing). Hell is spending eternity "without God", a state of existence (or non-existence) removed from His presence.

I'll tell you, though, that I find the idea of an eternity of time spent based on a comparative speck's worth of decisions seems out of whack to me. Personally, I'm hoping that reincarnation is the truth, or, more specifically, that one can spend time in Heaven and then choose to experience more Earthly lifetimes, kind of what's depicted in What Dreams May Come. I suppose, though, that our perception of eternity would be a different perception than that which we experience now.

No he doesn't, that's just what Christians say to try to convert some people. If that was true what about all the people who lived great lives but never even heard of Jesus, how unfair would it be for them to spend eternity in hell when they were probably better than some of us Christians. Faith is a personal decision.

Jesus doesn't want anyone to spend an eternity in hell. The greatest fallacy of our day is that only Christians go to Heaven.

I'm sure there are plenty of people throughout history who never read a bible or heard the great name Jesus and are in heaven, because no one can underestimate the mercy of God.

Jesus doesn't want anybody to spend eternity in Hell. Man has the choice of believing in Jesus and spending eternity in Heaven or not believing in Jesus and spending eternity in Hell.

The reason that man would have to spend eternity in Hell has to do with the fact that God gave man the ability to decide what he wanted to do because He (God) didn't want us to be robots; He wanted us to make the choice to love Him and His Son Jesus and to live eternally with them but some men (and women too) have made the decision not to believe in Jesus. This is why they cannot go to Heaven and must spend eternity in Hell. If they accept Jesus, even if it is with their last breath, they will go to Heaven when they die, but if not, they will go to Hell.

It is not God's will that anyone go to Hell / Sheol / Gehenna; but those who do not believe will end up there, whether they think it's fair, or not.

There are two philosophies regarding how long a damned person remains in Hell: some say forever; others, like myself, believe Hell's torment lasts as long as God's wrath, then the person ceases to exist. You can read more about that position here: http://www.lamblion.com/pdf/2006/Lamplighter-022006.pdf

Either way, remember that we're not the ones who determine what is fair: it's God's call; His judgement is completely righteous and just.

It's just too bi-polar isn't it? God is love, but have one impure thought at the wrong time or mis-pronounce one ancient holy word and BOOM, straight to a lake of fire for ever and ever. I don't believe it either. Every devout religious person does what they think is the will of God- whether they are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or animist, people who want to serve God are doing the best they can based on the information that is available in their culture. If someone grows up Hindu and they know that Hinduism is right, they would be wrong to convert to something else. And any person from another faith would be wrong to try to convert them and lead them away from their native faith. God is one, but people are many. We all know the markers of a good person- faith, sincerity, kindness, love, ability to forgive, one who supports life rather than destroys life. Good people don't go to hell. I might be able to make more guesses about the supposed afterlife, but there is one thing that I am quite sure of: good people don't go to hell.

Jesus doesn't want anyone to go to hell. He gives to your whole life to decide whether or not you have faith in and trust in Him. If you do, then you get to spend eternity with Him in heaven (where the streets are made of gold) or if you don't then you have a burning pit, which would you prefer?

No, he wants everyone in Heaven, that's why He gives us all a choice, He will not force anything on anyone, but as a consequence, you will go to Hell. And Im sure it's no party there. Jesus is always there whenever needed, and never leaves us!!

Remember it is a choice that each one of us makes, to either believe or not believe. We are the ones solely responsible for where we end up. Not God not Jesus, they offered us a way and if we choose for what ever reason then it is our own fault.

If is about what you want, choose, but understand what comes, comes. Its for all time and no one puts us anywhere we haven't made the choose to go.

How fair is that, we choose and then we complain about what we have chosen. Can't have it both ways.
