I've never heard this before... I guess this is a classic case of "once you talked to one person in a religion" everyone else automatically believes the same thing?

I am Christian, and I know ONE Jesus.

Well -I don't know what sect you are with nor what you believe - but the general idea behind someone following a different Jesus, is one who believes Jesus does and allows things contrary to the Jesus written of in the New Testament.

For example - people say they are Christians but believe that Jesus permits murder or rape. Following such an idea of Jesus is following a false, opposite, other Jesus and not the one in the Bible.

Or perhaps they believe in a Jesus who thinks men marrying men is okay - again - this is contrary to what Jesus teaches, and would be a false, opposite, other Jesus.

THAT is the explanation. Since I don't know what you believe - I am not casting stones here, just explaining why people say these things.

Not protestants, unless saint Paul could be considered a protestant. He said that if you stray from the truth then you are following another Jesus. On the same subject, it was Jesus himself who said that ´´If´´ his words abide in you ´´then´´ you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. You cannot separate Jesus from his teachings and expect to be saved. He is ´´The Word´´ made flesh. The written word is where you can examine yourself to see whether you are in the truth. God bless you!!!

Since there is no god, then he can't have had a son now could he?

The fact is, Emperor Constantine had two brothers, Judas Kristos and Rabbi Jesus made into one person and then deified (it's called Apotheosis) at the council of Nicea in 325 ad.
That's the first time the name Jesus Kristos appears in Christian mythology.

Boy! Seems like all these people believed the Da Vinci Code as fact.
Jesus is real! God is real!
Darwinian evolution and New Age hullabaloo is just that! You so- called atheist are just people who want to live a morality free life, so to quell your conscience, you say that there is no God and you feel exempt from all moral control

there was only one son of God called Yeshua meaning salvation. I take it you are catholic and if so follow the pope. all Christians must Follow Jesus not men and call no one father but the one in heaven now Jesus said that and also no one is holy but God yet Catholics call priests father and the pope holly father both are blasphemy against God

More information please, they may be saying you follow a different God depending on your religion. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ and identify yourself as being a Christian then they are confused as there is only one Jesus Christ.

even hinkley said that Christians and LDS have a different idea of Jesus,

i believe anyone truly searching for Christ , and comes as a repentant sinner and asks Christ into their heart and wants to give their life to Christ, it does not matter what church you are in , Jesus Christ will make Himself real to that person.
