You have regular American Domestic Short or Long hair cats. A vet or your local pet store should be the best to ask for a specific breed but regular mutt cats are listed on forms as DSH or DLH. If the white cat you have has a few spots but mostly colored on the face and tail it is possibly a VAN cat but it refers to color more than breed. Unless you buy your cat specifically with papers that give it a breed, most cats fall into the mixed breed catagory.

Ok most cats have 5 in front and 4 in back so that doesn't tell us anything. But calico cats can only happen in certain breeds so you can start there.

But it is safe to say that you can always put DSH (Domestic Short Hair) as the breed.

It sounds as though your girl is a Calico, and your boy is an Orange Tabby. Both would be classified as Domestic Short Hair or DSH for short. Good luck with your permits, and enjoy having your babies in your home! Cats are fabulous companions!

They are mixed breed cats for sure. There is no specific breed. For purposes of the permit, list the breed as "Domestic Short Hair". This should be fine for getting them out of the country.

Just call them domestic shorthairs and leave it at that.
