I don't think that anyone can with out losing all modesty can say which religion is the best for humanity. The reason I say this is that the one god gave religions to all the people on this earth in different forms for the different societies of our planet. While I may not agree with some religions, even the religion I practice I don't agree with or have questions about. What needs to be done is for the person to examine religions that speak to you. In the end the right religion for you will let you know in your heart.

The best religion for humanity would most likely be no religion at all. Developing a minds and lifestyles that operates on logic and proven scientific fact, rather than blindly following the unproven and baseless conclusions of religious books of unknown origins would do humanity good. This is because having no religion at all would erode the towering barriers that seperate us as a race. Really, if you look at all of the conflicts and tradgedies that have occured throughout history nearly all of them have had some basis in differing religious beliefs. Religion is splitting the human race into warring factions and if it is ever to truly progress it must be unified. To do this we as a whole race must learn to think logically and release ourselves from the strangle hold religion has on us.

There can be no right religion for humanity (there are too many out there). I too, am a lapsed Catholic. I do not believe in any organized religion. There are some good tenents in every faith I have read about but I choose to try to be a good citizen of the world, a spiritual person. There is a lot to be said for the "Golden Rule" - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
As to your question, no one can tell you who to pledge your allegiance to. Only you, through self-examination, can determine what it is you are seeking. All the best in your discovery.

Well i would suggest you read up about all and acquire knowledge. You don't need to pledge allegiance to anyone. It is only for your own peace of mind. I'm hindu but we don't actively seek converts to control the world. Ppl who come to hinduism come on there own. There is no harvesting souls for krishna! So make your own choice through knowledge!

There is no one religion that is right for everyone. Different cultures have different values, myths, and needs, shaped by their history and physical geography. If you require religion in your life, then search for it with an open mind.
You could also consider not having a religion.
I can't say I blame you for your view on the Roman Catholics. What a train wreck that is.

There is no such thing as one right religion., But there is one God, and He is the one that saved my soul. I put my Faith and Trust in Him. Jesus is the only True way to Heaven. Not some kind of religion.

whatttt??? they flow hand in hand quite nicely surely. people recognize that our efforts are not sufficient, destiny can continuously screw us over. you in all likelihood can paintings flat out his total existence and be killed in a automobile twist of destiny at age 20... because of those occurrences human beings are quick to position self belief in faith and the religious existences.
