when i try to convert files using nero it tells me 'microsoft says no.....' (bastards!) want to convert to mp3 files

use Nero Wave Editor
open a WMA file , and select Save As from File menu
Save it as Mp3.
It will automatically decoded into an MP3 file..

You need a file converter... Search the web.
Alternatively (not really a viable option) you can burn to Audio CD and Rip back as a WAV file.

ok first of all you need to get some converter software such as cheetah audio converter which you can get free at www.download.com. once you have this software installed on your pc just drag n drop the files you want to convert and click what you want to convert it to, (its pretty easy and straightforward to use), then you just click go and voila wma to mp3!!

try Xilisoft....www.xilisoft.com.
Go to the audio tools section & download the WMA MP3 convertor, download the free trail (just means you can only do 5 tracks at a time) its really easy to use & works a treat !
