If you want to gain weight, select foods that are high in calories, but are generally nutritious. Thus, you don't want pure fat or pure refined sugar so you should avoid deep fried foods, and candy bars. But cheeses, nuts, and dried fruits all provide concentrated calories along with good nutrients. If you make a practice of snacking on these throughout the day, you should be able to gain weight without bringing on health problems.

All of the above answers are good. I try my best to stay at 110, however I drop below that sometimes without changing my eating habits. I eat as healthy as I can, plenty of protein, fruits, veggies, dairy(milk, cheese, yogurt) and absolutely carbohydrates. I eat three meals a day, but I also eat about every three hours. Also a multi vitamin would not hurt or perhaps a calcium/magnesium vitamin. Check with your doc to see what he would recommend for you.

Plenty of protein and include about thirty percent fats in your diet. But stay away from trans fats and polyunsaturated fats. They are either man made or modified fats that can and do harm the body in many ways. Protein will help you develop muscles mass and the fat will give you more energy. The body has to have both to live and be healthy, but it does not have to have carbohydrates. It can make the glucose necessary for energy and growth from protein, but it can't do the same with carbs.

Good luck.
