I don't think you're weird or picky at all. For me, it's fat on meat, brown spots on bananas and apples, mushy grapes or strawberries, etc. My hubby can't eat bananas once the peels have started to spot, even if the banana inside is just fine.
Hope this helps.

It's not weird, it's just a preference...the brown spots on bananas are simply a sign of bruising or age (the fruit is quite ripe) but not harmful at all...although they tend to change the consistency which can be unappealing...
Same with chicken...the bloody color may be due to it being undercooked (which could be dangerous) or just meat tissue that was near the bone, and will sometimes have a dark color...not unhealthy but the idea of eating something that even looks 'bloody' can be an appetite suppresant for many...
I don't like the "stemmy" part of leaf lettuce so I pick it out of salads...I don't like the texture...
We've all got our little hangups or peculiarities...it's all good...

Not weird - Being cautious about preserving your health is a smart thing to do. Lots of people don't eat the bruised parts of fruit, or veins and bloody parts of chicken, or that intestine looking dark vein thingie on shrimp. No worries, you are in good company!

This is the kind of behavior that is going to keep you from getting food poisening. Good for you. Only pigs eat everything that is laid in front of them.
