It is scary. People don't realize the blasphemy that they do and how wrong it is. One day they will learn of their mistakes, the only sad thing is, that it will then be too late. So sad.

I think that if I were in the middle of two paths, and I were reading the questions and answers, i would think the Christian side was more appealing (ignorant bliss). However, the other side is way to convincing and fact based to possibly become a Christian. If you can look at the debate with an unbiased view, I think you would agree that Christianity, on this site, is made to look ancient and irrelevant due to its completely "faith-based" requirements. The non-Christian side offers thoughtful, though sometimes rude and hurtful questions and responses, while the typical Christian answer is either a bible quote, "I'll pray for you.", or something so abstract that it would never convince a fact chaser in a million years. Personaly I like a hurtful truth than an abstract story.
I think that if the Christian side would refine their answers to the question presented, and offer some thoughtful, well researched information, then the scientist and the Christian just might see eye to eye, or at least meet in the middle. But telling someone they will surely burn in Hell is never going to produce a desired effect, with regards to converting someone to Christianity. What the church needs to figure out, is how to talk to a realist who comes from the world of facts and things they can see, touch, and prove.

If you were truly a Christian, truly a studier of the bible, you would know that god gave his people free will, to ask questions, to accept theories, to not accept theories.
Another reason: You don't know that Christianity is the correct religion. Judaism was the first. Do you know god isn't Allah? Isn't Buddah? Isn't many deities? Isn't a goddess?
God lets people think what they want-- why can't you?
As of now, being a minor, I am a Christian and the greatest gift I can give to mankind is letting them worship how they truly believe. Maybe you should do a kind thing like that as well.

The church itself is an evil, money hungry organization. When the churches of the world find a way to keep its servants from screwing little children, killing in the name of its' god, and stealing money from its' peoples, then maybe I'll put more faith in a man made organization. The church is man made, and subject to all of his/her fallacies. The church used to charge people for their sins, now they use a collection plate and charge tuition. There's a sacrilege if you ask me. I grew up in an Irish Catholic family that was privileged to see how the church treated families who couldn't pay their tuition and church dues, very eye-opening even at a young age. Get off your high-horse, and live your life how you choose, don't accuse others of sacrilege if they choose to live differently.

I never refused to know the lord, i was brought up as a fervient christian, and i looked up things and researched, the only thing that differentiates a christian from a non christian is their ability to live in uncertanty, beautiful, oportunity filled uncertanty
The world is in constant change, accept it, get over it, live
just take the risk to be good just because, i dont need a hateful god to threaten me in order to behave, there are many real, factual reasons not to be an ***
I do not need a god to keep myself out of troubles, i f something wrong happens to me i will do as i can to change it and if i cant its allright too
I am very happy, and i would like everyone to feel like me, without having to subdue to anything or anyone
and i havent needed to blind myself to facts, science and advancements in society
I am not lost, i am found, and im happy
I have no fear of death
If being happy means going to hell because of refusing to bow to a god that excludes people because they dont belive in him instead of worring wether they are wonderful human beings or not, then i will gladly suffer an eternity in hell, since right now every moment is an eternity of happiness
I hope you get someday to find peace in yourselves without depending on anything or anyone
I participate in yahoo answers, sometimes in a lighter, sometimes in a harder tone, because im happy, its a celebration of humans struggle to grow and be happy, and if i can help someone in the road to happiness i will, the nature of this site is based on inquiries, and if i think i have the answer to a question i will answer it, and if the person is open they will understand, and since questions are the basis of logical thought then this is a place where i can fit, its predisposed to be logical

well, i agree that many of them are to make fun of christians.. and i feel more than our replies its our prayers that have to go to God to turn the unbelievers.. because our work is not going to gain anything withour God's moving arm. So whether people make fun or not.. its our duty to tell them the truth and thereafter pray for them.. which I feel 85 - 90% of us don't do.. I am also guilty of the same. More than criticising people openly we should be more humble and lowly and there are times when we should not strike back the way they strike at us.. where else are people going to see the christlike attitude.. we have to hold our temper and pray for the people who scorn us so that they also might know the Lord.. see Stephen...

I think it's sad that there are so many questions on here that aren't even questions really, just people voicing why they hate Christians. I mean, nobody on here is bashing muslims, buddhists, hindus, etc. right? But, I think the only reason they are attacking Christians is because they know our religion is the true one. I think they don't worry about the other religions because they know that they aren't true so there's no need to persecute them.

It's sad and a little scary for them I mean. I pray for them. As "cheesy" and "corny" and full of nonsense as they think that is to say, I truly do. They have no idea how truly "lost" they are. When you have Jesus as Your Lord and Savior and acknowledge Him in all you do it is truly freeing and a wonderful feeling that I pray for everyone to feel. Does that mean that we are sinless or better than they are. Not at all, we are just in a better place and will be in the greatest place when the time comes. I just would not want to be in their shoes then. Or even now, the questions and responses they have. So angry, sad, and truly lonely they are.

I agree, it is very dishearting to read the hate filled resposes from those who do not know the Lord. It does show that the Bible is being fulfilled. I only hope the lost will open up their hearts and souls to receive the gift of salvation.

I can't imagine a life without knowing Christ so I honestly can't say that I know what they're thinking. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (sometimes that fact is unfortunate) and are just so hateful that they must feel the need to spread their ignorance by speaking about things that they don't understand.

I ignore most the question and answer only those asking serious questions. Which is not many. Only God can help those who seek after darkness and satans ways. Cause they refuse to hear what Jesus has to say and what we have to say according to His word.
