i personally don't really care, but there's definitely a stereotype that the guys are supposed to be taller. I'm 5'4'' so i don't know many guys that are shorter than me that aren't like way younger than me. An inch isn't that much. I guess don't wear heels if it makes him uncomfortable but i think if you love some one it doesn't matter! :)

I dated a guy who was shorter than me (Im 5'7) and I felt way uncomfortable. My bf now is 5'10 and I feel weird when I wear heels because while I am not taller than him when I do wear heels, I feel like Im too close to his height. I like to feel secure like, a little woman when I am in a relationship. My bf can lift me up with one hand...thats like the ultimate security for me. If I go out with a guy whose really thin and/or shorter than me, I feel like if I can possibly f*ck them up, then whose going to protect me?

If you guys love eachother, then that shouldn't matter. I don't have the wearing heels problem with my bf, because he's over a foot taller than me.

My husband and I are almost exactly the same height (5'-9"). He doesn't mind at all the 1"-2" heels I frequently wear. There are a lot of perks to having a guy close to your height- hugs and kisses are much easier, you never have to readjust the car seat, etc.
A friend of mine is 5'-8" and her husband is 6'-5"; unless she's wearing 4" heels, he practically has to pick her up to kiss her.

Just don't wear heels when you go out with him. It seem he is not comfortable with you being taller then him. If you must wear heels then do it, it is his problem, not yours. He has to learn to deal with the fact that he is short.

It's not their fault that they're short. Even though I prefer someone who can rest his chin on my head when I hug him, I would date a guy that is shorter than me.
No, it's not a stereotype that girls feel akward, because if the guy is shorter, he's either eye-level with your boobs or close enough and that makes it very uncomfortable. Best of luck with you and yours.

Im 5ft 10,over 6ft in heels.my partner is 5ft 10.It makes not a shred of difference the height difference.Men like tall ladies.I have been out with someone who was 5ft 6.I still wore my heels.yes it looks a bit funny.when you are with someone that loves you it doesnt matter who is taller. Some men feel real shorties around tall women, inferior.I always say well they should look up to us!!
