To "LovelyEmily" is it not more easily for 4 people to get into a car with 4 doors instead of 2 doors? My neighbors on each side of my home, have 4 door cars, and they are not Jehovah's Witnesses, you think maybe I should tell them to trade their cars in for a 2 door, because 4 doors are for JW's only.
Did Jesus, when on earth, wear a beard? Certainly it was a custom strictly held by the Jews. Jesus, born a Jew, “came to be under law” and he fulfilled the Law. (Ga 4:4; Mt 5:17) Like all other Jews, Jesus was dedicated to Jehovah God from his birth, by reason of the Law covenant, and was under obligation to keep the whole Law, including the prohibition on shaving the extremity of the beard. Also, at the time that Jesus was on earth, the Roman custom was beardlessness. Therefore, if Jesus had been beardless, he would have been challenged as being either a eunuch or a Roman. Significantly, a prophecy concerning Jesus’ suffering states: “My back I gave to the strikers, and my cheeks to those plucking off the hair.” Isa 50:6.
We must take into consideration that Jehovah’s people are under scrutiny by the world. The message of the Kingdom that they are taking to the people is sometimes judged by the appearance of those bringing it. There is the possibility that a Christian brother or sister dressed in a certain style might so attract the attention of the person at the door that the person does not pay attention to what the Christian is saying, or concludes that we are no different from worldlings in morals or principles. If this is the case, then the message bearer is defeating the whole purpose of his or her field service. We are called upon, at times, to sacrifice our own convenience, to a greater or lesser degree, according to the need, in order to avoid stumbling some. This was the attitude of the apostle Paul: “In no way are we giving any cause for stumbling, that our ministry might not be found fault with; but in every way we recommend ourselves as God’s ministers. 2 Cor. 6:3, 4.
Today Christian ministers, like the early Christians, are concerned with neatness and cleanness, but they strive to dress inconspicuously, so that their appearance does not in any way detract from the dignity or the effectiveness of the message they bear. (2 Cor. 6:3, 4) In recent years in many lands a beard or long hair on a man attracts immediate notice and may, in the minds of the majority, classify such a person undesirably with extremists or as rebels against society. God’s ministers want to avoid making any impression that would take attention away from their ministry or hinder anyone from listening to the truth. They know that people are watching true Christians very critically and that to a great extent they judge the entire congregation and the good news by the minister’s appearance as a representative of the congregation.

Jehovah's Witness men are permitted to grow beards. There is nothing in the bible or in their doctrine which discourages facial hair. In some lands, beards are quite common among Witness men.
Admittedly, there seems to be a tradition in the United States whereby the vast majority of Witnesses do not have beards. Even so, some Witnesses in the USA do have beards, including some congregation elders and full-time ministers.
Incidentally, Jehovah's Witnesses do not technically forbid tattoos, except those that are immodest or otherwise incompatible with godly ideas.

Jehovah's Witnesses encourage modesty in dress and grooming. They are a very conservative order where beards are frowned upon even though not specifically banned.
Though they are nonconformists in some ways, they seek not to appear to be "counter-cultural." They avoid appearing unkempt or unprofessional according to local norms. Therefore, in certain areas, things such as beards, long hair or earrings for men, alongwith any dress or grooming that is deemed to be rebellious or immodest is discouraged in everyday settings. A person violating these standards would risk bringing reproach upon the congregation. In a society where beards are more common, Jehovah's Witnesses would wear them.

Well, I'm a little late I see, as you have several good answers directly from witnesses.
I'll add this though, that in my small congregation we have one brother who wears a (neatly trimmed) beard and several brothers who sport mustaches. (One of these brothers does so for the specific reason that he has a facial deformity, and thus he feels much more comfortable with facial hair.....and there's nothing scripturally wrong with that.)

I think your a little mixed up! We didn't write the Bible or create the laws. All we do is 'teach' the bible truth as no one else does.
We attempt to find Jesus sheep and feed them spiritually. BUT< we *do find quite a few 'goats'* And those we leave alone.
Bash all you want, and enjoy it. Our rewards come from success with those who are willing to live according to God's laws, and to follow Christ. Jehovah knows who loves him, and it is only through his name you will be saved.
Man cannot change God's laws.

whatever their reason may be, i know one thing for sure - just as not donating blood is not a requirement for entering into the kingdom of God, so is not growing beard a key to God's kingdom. FINITO!!!!

I dunno..why can they only have 4 door cars? Why can't they celebrate birthdays? There are so many questions I have for them..but they hate Christians so I guess I'll leave them alone.
