Chavez was so called a Latino civil right leader. But usually those tend to have a socialst way of thinking

Possibly, but I think you got mixed up somewhere with Hugo Chavez. However, socialists are very pro-labor, so it is entirely possible he could have thought himself a socialist.

It depends on your point of view. My Grandfather thought all unionism was socialism. It isn't pure capitalism because there isn't a free market. There are specific antitrust provisions for labor for that reason. However, most of us see it as a modification of our capitalism, along with safety net programs. It softens the edges so to speak.

Wanting yourself and your family and your friends to be able to get paid more than a few dollars a day hardly makes anyone a socialist.

It simply makes us human.
