My brother and his wife prays with my 2 year old nephew every night. They sing "jesus loves me" and they have a children's Bible that they read from. Also, take him to a church's nursery or children's church program. They help out a lot.

When a child is brought to the Lord, still the child don't know right from wrong. All you have to talk to him, read the bible to him, tell him who is Jesus. There are many baby books that can help you. I child will understand by the time is 12 that is the age when Jesus was with the alders in the temple talking preaching the word of God. That is an example that by the age, if a child was brought the right way in the gospel of Jesus Christ, he will not depart from the truth, because the truth is planted inside his heart. This is the way I teached mines, and now my grandson.
Every night read him a story from the bible, but keep it simple so he can understand. Bring him to church and have him get used to socializes with others at church. Believe me in no time, he will be teaching other.
God Bless you child, and may the love of Lord Jesus Christ dwells in his little heart.

At 2 Timothy 3:15 Paul says to Timothy, and that from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through the faith in connection with Christ Jesus. 16 says, All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. But Paul said at 14, You, however, continue in the things that you learned and were persuaded to believe, knowing from what persons you learned them. Start teaching the word of God as soon as possible.

The best way to make your two year old to grow up to be an open minded, Intelligent person is to let that person grow to an age where he / she would understand what religion means. You show down the fairy tales of the Bible down his / her throat now - the person will forever be a dud. It's a material person who should show love to a child - like a mother or the father - He wouldn't want to know if someone who he would never meet in his life would love him or not.
My sincere advice is to let him / her learn at least the leading beliefs in the world - and let him / her decide what suits him the best. Isn't it better ? You believe something that your parents showed down your throat ya ?

There are videos and music cds that are specifically for children. Music makes a big impression on young minds. Speak lovingly about Jesus and in time your child will ask the questions that he/she needs answered. Sometimes we have a tendency to give too much information to children only to confuse them. Let your love for the Lord show and God will give the increase to your child. God bless.

I believe you can start by showing the child the wonders of God's creation first. At a later time, introduction of God's Son into the dialogue would be appropriate. Dealing with Jesus' death and resurrection might be a little premature now.

Personally i dont think you should introduce him to Jesus so early he probably wouldnt understand and may get the wrong idea. Teach him right from wrong, morals, or at least stuff a 2 year old would understand.

If he is just 2, Then he is just like another Jesus. By Heart both are same. Don't try to introduce him, God knows him very well.

its not a matter of atheist scumbags ripping on this poor fool for trying to introduce their toddler to the myths surrounding jesus christ. why dont you practice the tolerance and open-mindedness you all so whole-heartedly preach and let your child learn about what interests them. you think atheists are pushing an agenda onto this person who asks such a naive question.. it is you people, and this person, who have the agenda and it is YOU who will push it upon the weak minded and influential; poor child. give the kid a chance to be an independent, FREE thinker instead of feeding 2000 year old rubbish into their helpless mouths.
how about you introduce your child to buddhism, or taoism, zenism, hinduism, introduce jewish literature, read the koran.. allow them choices unlike your parents, obviously, to live their life to the fullest without your hapless guidance.
wake up people lets move into the next century, shall we?

It is inexcusably insidious to brainwash a child with your own religious delusion. Why not let the child grow up until he is old enough to think for himself and make his own decisions. Once he's got some experience in the real world I'm sure he'll be able to work it out for himself if jesus loves him, or otherwise.

He's still to young to understand.
My 2 1/2 year old knows "Jesus" because she sees her father wearing a cross on his chain. Anything more than that would be too much for her to understand at this age.
