....time. i get bored of an item of clothing after a while, or my car....how does one decide to settle and not try new things every so often? Even Brad Pitt said when he married Jennifer Aniston, that he doesnt believe in marriage forever or even just to be with someone forever! Whats your opinion?

Speaking from the palce of being married to the same wonderful woman for 34 years I can tell you that there is so very much more about love that one can never discover until he/she has lived the ups and downs of life together.

Your clothing and yor car give nothing but what they were designed to give. A spouse is multi-dimensional and grows in intellect, emotional maturity, outlook and personality. Together, the growth is incredible!

Those who give up too early are like the hunter that shoots himself in the foot!

I also think marriage should have a time limit, maybe we should have a contract for a number of years and then re sign another one if we wish to stay together or move on if we decide not to, I suppose a lot of stuff needs to be worked out as to children and property but lifetime of marriage is too long and divorce is too expensive, the lawyers rub their hands in glee as soon as they see you coming. This way no one need to divorce just wait til the end of contract.

i feel you on this one. love's like a tree or something cuz you if you keep swingin at it it'll eventually fall down. some ppl stay w/the same person for years on end b/c of the fear that they will not be able to find someone else once they're single again. but there'll be a point where you get w/someone and find yourself unable to let go because you've finally found that one person for you. but again like a tree love will take time to grow. corny but true

I think you just haven't found the right person that can hold your interest. I used to think that exact same way but my husband is truely the only person i want to be with. He and I are best friends and he uderstands me like no one else ever has. Once you find the person that is your true other half, you won't even think twice about it.
