God has chosen a people for his name as stated at Isaiah 43:10: "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me."
Many nations as a whole do not worship the true God. Their form of worship is not acceptable and does not meet his requirements. They do not look to God's Kingdom as the only hope for mankind. They are involved in the political and nationalistic affairs of this world, but Jesus said his followers will :be no part of the world." (John 15:19 ) (John 17:16 )
James 4:4: " Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
Many have made themselves enemies of God. They have no real love for one another. God's chosen people will have real love and unity.

You can be a chosen one if you chose Him back, and act like a chosen one, be a chosen one, talk like a chosen one, relate to God like a chosen one, BUT this will not be apart from your knowledge of one which means time in the WORD.
Born Again is the only way, by your spirit, through your knowledge and acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
I am one of those special lil guys you talk about, we are all over the world and in many different churches that believe in Jesus and the trinity.
God loves everyone and He will but we must chose to love Him back. He does not want love robots, do you want to be loved by choice, for who you are and not what you can do or because you make them love you?
Read the gospel message - God Loves you and wants to be active in your life but He can't do that apart from Jesus, ask for the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you into all truth and you will find your way!

The original chosen people were the Jews. The words "chosen people" in the Old Testament meant that God's son, Jesus, would be born of that race. Chosen has nothing to do with whether someone can obtain eternal life.

The Jews were God's first chosen people because He needed a people to perpetuate and Preach His Word in a manner that would be lasting. The Gentiles were given an opportunity to become part of the "chosen people" after the Jews crucified Christ in their anger and lack of understanding. But because God DOES love everyone, the Jews will never totally be cut off from their rightful place as "his chosen people". He promised Abraham that "I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you." So as long as we respect one another and obey God's salvation plan in Acts Chapter 2, we can become part of the Church which consists of ALL believers!

That's an interesting question...
When one reads the book of Genesis, it is extremely clear that God wanted ALL of Adam's and Noah's descendants to choose to follow Him. Only a very small number of people did (Noah and Abraham are examples).
By the faith in God that these people had, God then called them His chosen people. God selected these people to give His laws to, and to promise that one day the Messiah would come and wash away the their sins and the sins of the whole world for those who accepted this free gift.
So, in actuality the "chosen people" are the people who chose God.

God's chosen "little flock" are those who when tempted did not sin throughout their life, but rather, put God first in everything they did. Those people are already chosen and they know who they are. If you want to be a member of that team, God's Word should hit your ears like furtle ground, as it grows in your heart, you are putting it into practice. That is what is expected of a good Christian. Spread the word as you bear testament to it.

god chose the jews to assign to them the task of following additional laws and thus perfecting creation which was imperfected (if that's a word) by the bursting of the klippot and the act of eating the forbidden fruit.
according to rabbinic lore, every other nation was given the choice to be the chosen nation, but they didn't like all the rules. chosen is about responsibility, not favoratism.

God loves everyone and doesn't wish that any should go to hell. The Jews were referred to as Gods chosen people in the bible, but all can be His children.

Those who accept Jesus are God's chosen people+ there are chosen among the christians who are made apostles evangelists etc.
Actually there would be no such thing as chosen people, if everyone would believe, but since they don't, God chooses people ....of course He would choose everyone, but some people just reject Him.

Well, I'm sure you already know the answer to this question. Different gods had different chosen people. Yahweh just happened to win more important wars.
