Yes, definitely go back and have your own stylist fix it for you, that's too much money for a haircut you hate. I definitely would only stick to your stylist in the future.

The best thing to do is to ask for a consultation with the owner/manager and explain your dissatisfaction with the service. In many cases a cut here and a snip there can make the difference between a good cut and a bad cut. The main thing to remember is that you cannot add hair. To straighten it out you will need to cut more off.
The salon owner will normally have a policy of fixing mistakes without more charges.
There is on old saying that, "the difference between a good haircut and a bad one is about three weeks". Good luck. An old stylist from NYC

The etiquette of haircuts is to have the same stylist fix it at no charge. (I always thought that made no sense since they'll probably mess it up more.) But, you need to give the stylist the opportunity to make it right and save her reputation. By the way...you need to TIP her for the "fix".
Asking your own stylist to fix it is also OK but you have to pay her for the work, and you don't complain about the style to your stylist or anyone else in the shop. Your stylist will know that it's not right- and will probably give you a break on the price, especially if she referred you to the other stylist.

At that price you have a right to get what you pay for. I would return and tell the lady who did your hair that you do not mean any offense but the results were not quite what you expected. Then procede to your regular hairdresser and see if she can help you. I would say it would depend on how much hair you have left to work with and color should not be a problem. I'm with you -- try not to hurt the other lady's feelings. A little kindness never hurt anyone. It will work out, wait and see. Good luck.

First, ask him how lengthy he needs his hair, and what type he likes. Get a comb and a sturdy pair of sharp scissors. positioned a towel round his neck to seize the hair. in case you do it outdoors with him sitting in a chair, then you definitely received't ought to comb up. next, pull up some hair interior the front with the comb and in accordance to the dimensions that he needs, clip the hair sticking out above the combs teeth. Use this equipment throughout his head. in accordance to the kind that he needs, you need to reduce the hair shorter on good and longer interior the lower back, or maybe if he needs. some people favor to moist the hair b-4 slicing, yet I by no skill do. i favor to work out what it is going to appear like even as that is dry. you somewhat ought to attempt to cajole him that he may be more suitable useful off with a hairdresser even as he has sufficient hair to artwork with. perhaps once you get executed with him, it will be too previous due for a specialist to fix what's left of his hair. even if, it really is his mess so do not do it till he elements now to not get mad at you for not doing a sturdy job, once you've advised him you at the prompt are not experienced. Oh yeah and do not get too close to to his ear or throat with sharp scissors. LOL!

If you were not satisfied you are entitled to get what you paid for. This same thing happened to me just last week. I went back nearly a week later(yesterday) & she recut my hair free of charge. I will go back to her in the future. (This was the first time I used her.) You should at least tell the lady that cut it that you are not happy with the cut.

Well I understand you don't want to hurt your stylist feelings but you do need your hair fixed I would say you have 3 options
-Go back politely tell them you just had your haircut and just need it fixed
-Call manager let them know your concern and that you don't want to get her in trouble and you don't want to embarass her so could someone else just fix it on this persons day off?
-Goto another stylist to have it fixed.

You should return to the salon and let management know of your disappointment. Ask her if your remedy could be worked out by your stylist. That is actually taking money out of her mouth to repair something someone else got paid for. I would ask that your stylist be paid for the botched job.

Well, yes. If you don't like it, go back and re-do it. It's your hair, not hers. Also, you might want to make a complaint. Especially if she over-priced it. And if you want id re-done and don't want to hurt her feelings, find out what day that lady has off of work. Then go get it re-done when she's off of work and your regular stylist isn't.
