When your pupils are dialated does that mean they small or big? What does it mean when they are one way or the other.

When they dialate they get bigger. When they are bigger that means there is less light...when they are smaller that means there is more light. Being under the influence of some drugs can cause them to dialate also.

It means they are big, dialation is the black part of the eye getting bigger.

when pupils are dialated they are expanded to let in more light. they contract to filter light. they get bigger when it's dark, and smaller in the sun light.

Big...so the eye doctor can look at your retina...
Mostly they are naturally so...they are dilated with some drugs and narrowed by drugs such as Narcotics.
