Thanks for the positive answers! Booo to the negative people. Maybe you're having a bad day? It was just question! It's my 1st dog ever! She's not in heat,I don't own a male dog, I didn't and won't contribute to over crowded shelters. Why should my family not have the fun/right watching our dog carry and have puppies and make us smile? AND For the guy who breeds for $ Go adopt a few "mutts"! Have a nice day!

Absolutely they can mate. Any breed can mate with any other breed. And that's going to be one interesting looking (and CUTE!) doggie (or doggies). :)

as long as the head of the male is nt larger than that of the female my moms dog mated w/ a head larger than the girls and she died while giving birth because if the large puppy heads

Can they? Yes. Should they? Absolutely not. Get them both fixed immediately.
Can you proudly say, "Six dogs die in shelters a minute because of me!" If you don't want to be able to say that, get your dogs spayed and neutered.

yes any canines can breed together, but why would you breed intentionally a mutt when there are so many mutts in shelters? food for thought.

yes -- any type of dog can mate w/ any type of dog... thats how we get mutts/mixed breeds!
