I always thought spaghetti and the like was actually better as leftovers!! Make sure you use a freezer container and use a shallower container to make reheating easiers. It works fine, I do it.

The cheap galdware works fine. I make my lunch for two weeks and freeze it. I grab one every morning. I save so much time and money. I think everyone whould do it. I have used galdware or ziploc, both work OK.

I usually cook pasta with chicken and some kind of sauce. The only thing I haven;t tried is cream sauce. Dairy in general does not freeze well so I haven;t tried, but wine sauce, lemon sauce and tomato sauce all taste great when they are defronsted. I also do it with mash potatoes and meat and some veggies.

It is so much better than eating premade super market garbage.

Good luck

You can definitely freeze the sauce, I do it all the time especially with spaghetti sauce and it actually tastes better when I thaw it out! I wasn't sure about the pasta, so I called someone who would definitely know - my grandmother, she freezes EVERYTHING! She said that you can definitely freeze pasta too and it'll turn out just fine. It's such a great idea to do it this way especially when you're working and you need something for lunch. Good luck and enjoy your quick and easy lunches! :)

Pasta dishes will taste the same, just don't freeze beef stew or any thing with potatoes or carrots because they become mushy and the dish gets water logged after defrosting. Chili is also another dish that you can freeze and will taste good. I have been a cook for years so I know this for sure.

I've done that before. As long as the sauce was mixed in w/the pasta before freezing, it'll taste fine.

With cooking for one, I do this all of the time. Sometimes, I'll make a big pot of sauce and then freeze lip lock bags of just sauce. Either way...tastes fine.

It is just fine as long as you don't have it frozen for a long period of time, like a year or something drastic like that. But it tastes just fine, like it was fresh made once it is properly heated up again. I've done it many times, for myself as well as for my husband's lunches.

Just make sure it's in a freezer approved container but it should heat up just fine. I think the shelf-life is something like 6 months.
